Best day of the week is here,
Square Dog Friday !
You know the drill so let's woof it.
Winston is still at Puppy Boot Camp.
Here are a few photos of him so you do not forget manables.
We are thinking if loaning him out to detect alien spaceships.
Area 51 here we come.
Area 51 here we come.
He was eating some salad, along with the root and the dirt that was still on it.
Salad has never tasted so good.
Sleepy gud dug.
Running through the sprinklers will do it every time.

Monsieur Oliver.
Here is Miss Pretty, Merida or as I call her Marabo.
She is so beautiful her fur is just like silk.
Both their eyes are Peridot.
Both their eyes are Peridot.
The Denver National Weather Service had a bewildering bob on their radar this week.
A huge mass of color appeared and they didn't know what it was ?
Turns out it was a migration of Painted Lady Butterflies from north to south.
They covered an area about 70 miles wide.
Can you believe what a delight it would have been to stand there and
have millions of butterflies flying above and around you.
Yes Please !

Found this adorable dog up for adoption. I want him but two
puppies are way too much for me. He is a Corgi Dachshound mix.
What a happy a gud dug !
He is all the way up in Phoenix (if he was in Tucson I would have adopted him)
but he wasn't on the list yesterday so I think he was adopted.

My arthritic hands have a mind of their own and sometime I find strange photos
that I have accidently taken when I put the phone down.
I rather like this one.
Have a wonderful weekend.
cheers, parsnip
Do you live near Area 51? OMG.
ReplyDeleteWhen I live in California we always drove past Area 51. Tucson is not that far either.
DeleteWhat a thrill. I'd be looking for strange happenings in the sky all of the time. Must be all the crystals underground that draws them there. I have been in a Monarch migration once. I laid down on my back and from a foot off the ground to teeny specks high in the sky I watched them. They all fly at different levels and must have been thousands. They were heading south just before a blue norther was to come through.
DeletePerky ears on Winston, and such pretty kitties!
ReplyDeleteI occasionally snap a shot without realizing it, and wonder about it afterwards.
I love when I look at the photos and I see one and think ? ? ?
DeleteThose butterflies are amazing
ReplyDeleteDo hope the Mandibles is soon well enough behaved to come home.
The Butterflies made me happy
DeleteWhat a pair the two of them would have been. Are the kitties pining for Winston's return?
ReplyDeleteThey do not miss or want him back !
DeleteHi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteI hope the drill instructor at Gug Dog Boot Camp isn't being too hard on young Winston. I can just imagine Mandibles and the other pups in training being rousted out of bed at 4 am and forced to go on a 50 mile hike. :) I hope you take more closeups of beautiful, mysterious Merida so that I can use them as my desktop background for Halloween. The migrating butterflies are inspiring. I am relieved that you explained those radar images. For a moment I thought I was looking at the U.S. electoral map - then and now. :) I hope that Corgi Dachshound mix found a forever home. He's a fine looking boy.
Have a nice weekend, dear friend Gayle!
I try not to look at the adoptable dogs. I want them all.
DeleteHis little backpack is so cute so he hikes in style.
DeleteI want all the adoptable dogs, too, so I don't look. I have a weakness for any dog in need.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Mine too.
DeleteI would like to sell my home and buy some land to take in lots of older dogs and abused animals.
Then hire a lawyer and start prosecute animal abusers.
Oh my, those furry ears! It does look like Winston is communicating with the spaceship using his ear fur as antenna hahaha. He is so cute! Oliver and Merida are gorgeous. I wonder who put a mousie in the bowl of shells :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly images. Very impressive!
Have a lovely weekend! xo
His ears are so furry.
DeleteAfter the first cut all that will be gone and he will look like a scotty'
THE EARS !
ReplyDeleteThey have a life of their own.
The cats do not really play. I have spent a bundle on their toys.
Dirty salad. Yum!
ReplyDeleteYou look outside and there he is munching away like a cow.
DeletePretty kitties...
ReplyDeleteLove the butterflies.
All the butterflies !
DeleteWhat a cutie that one that's up for adoption is! Winston too, of course!
ReplyDeleteHope you're all doing well. :)
We are all fine thank you !
DeleteWinston's ears. Like a pair of black pine trees.
ReplyDeletehahahahaha I will take your word on the pine trees !
DeleteWinston is looking well. I saw the flutter radar too- amazing! Have you thought about green lipped muscles for your arthritis?
ReplyDeleteI looked up green lipped muscles and it looks very interesting. I am careful of shellfish because of my migraines
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info.
Still at boot camp! My goodness, how long did he sign up for? I bet the kitties do miss him but cats, you know, hide any sentimentality!
ReplyDeleteI was under the path of migrating yellow butterflies one time. It was magnificent to stand there and watch them, with lower flying ones occasionally popping down to where I was.
He came home for 2 weeks but his training was not finish.
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me of my first Scotty Kirby when she was young. She took no prisoners. She was one tough princess. She mellowed out but she had a backbone of steel.
Oliver makes quite a contrast with Winston, a handsome cat he seems to have a knack for posing.... maybe you should try and get him a movie career :)
ReplyDeleteI think I will be able to pose him. He likes treats !
DeleteHe is sick right now and on a special diet.
This is a most interesting post. I wonder if the butterfly invasion ruins the extraterrestrial reception for Winston? Fiona might pick up some frequencies from your area too. That Corgi-dachshund looks adorable. Too bad he's gone. Hopefully the new owners will spoil him silly. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI do not look at dogs any more because I want them all. But if this one was in Tucson I would have gotten him !
Deletecheers, parsnip
How far are you from Roswell, NM?
ReplyDeletewrong area... there is one on the way to Las Vegas next to Pahrump. Everything is called area 51 and Everyone listened to Art Bell.
DeletePlus there is always alien hovering Pahrump.
I like when strange photos happen. Glad the pup found a home. What a cutie.
