Good News first !

We now have 

The Great Wall Of thehamish !

We had to remove the steps that were on the west side of the bed. No more up and down because of his back. 

So I had a ramp built for him. It is carpeted, and has openings for gud dugs and katties. 

We still pick him up and down carefully but in the middle of the night if he needs to go outside,  

it is now easier for thehamish to wake up Son to take him out. 

Not sure why he wakes up Son to take him out now ?  I was the one who always got up with the 

gud dugs but it is just fine with me.  I get so little sleep now so any hour here or there 

is much needed.

I am working on 3 or 4 small watch towers to finish The Great Wall look. 

Plus add the angle wall piece.  The sides on the top are because he has very

little eyesight left. Just enough to help him remember where he is.

Why it is so big is we had to have a nice easy ramp to walk up. 

His ACL has completely crossed over his back legs and 

we now have to be so careful of his back and legs.

I lurve my sweet baboo.

Now the bad news.

Son and I have been at the vet everyday. We thought thehamish was "okish" and then he dropped 

out so fast.  In 2 week he bottomed out.

We found everything is a huge mess again, his pancreas, liver, kidneys and bladder are all under attack. His pancreas is "hot" and really messed up again.

He is on a new diet that I cook for him and several new meds.

We are watching him very close. Right now he is sort of okish.

But everyday he wakes up with a smile. Scotties smile big time.

He is my only luxury.

I lurve him.

....

Fires, javelinas, roadrunners, and thehamish

Fires everywhere.
High temperatures and hot winds.
When you have a week of super hot temperatures then have 115 to 118
for several days the earth just can not cool off.
Days are just hot. So when I say 102 on Monday would be cooler,
it really was 107, to us that was cool and much need drop.

Javelinas dig up the cool damp earth and try to cool off.

There are two on the left and one more on the right a baby is behind the tree next to her Mum.

These two are in the pond.

but gone by the evening.

Samurai Pet Armor 

Prepare your dog and cat for battle.

The Fukuoka based Samurai Armor is lightweight but as they said 

your pet will probably not be protected from any katana strikes, 

they will at least feel badass and comfortable.

We have been at the vet everyday. Because we do not want and can not leave him there. 

He is crumbling and fading fast. Back for another treatment and some tough 

talk. In 2 weeks he has deteriorated very fast, all his testes are wonky.

When the more test come back today we will know more.

My heart is breaking into a million pieces.

Not much I can do but wait and see.

Monday maddness...

What a last few days, do not want to go through that heat again.
On Saturday it was 118. I was making sure all the wild animals had water.
Plus I had the outside my fenced yard, big sprinklers on twice
to help cool the plants and animals off.
We had so many super hot days leading up to Friday/Saturday the
earth had no time to cool off.
On Saturday evening at 9:25 when I went to bed it was 102.
Sunday morning at 9:30 it was 92 already.
Today it is suppose to be 102. I hope so we need the cooler weather.

it is so hot today and lots' of fires all around here

30 fires in arizona bad bad bad not gud at all

lots of them near my home not gud

Most of these fires are all south and southeast of Tucson.
Big and small some have been burning for over a month now.
It is so bad so early.

Monday sadness.

Such sad news everywhere today.

I read some of the news of the forest fires in Portugal.

With all the other news in  Washington, London, Paris and Syria,

some news feeds are not even mentioning it today.

If you haven't read about this there is a huge fast growing forest fire 

in central Portugal. It has injured 16 with at this time 

25 people killed with many burned to death in their cars trying to escape.

This reminds me of the wildfire that destroyed part of Laguna Beach.

We were living on the top of a hill overlooking Laguna Beach to the Pacific.

The wildfire came blowing in from the north and in a few seconds turned 

blew up and over the backside of the hill and flew down and over my home. 

We had seconds to leave. 

I drove the children down the hill then onto Pacific Coast Highway. 

The road was now bumper to bumper. I could see the fire coming down the hill towards us.

 PCH runs right next to ocean, I told my older son, to hold on to his brother and sister 

and run the block to the ocean and jump in, if the fire overtook us and don't look back.

We had an a chance so many of these people didn't.

My heart goes out to them. I have lived through this and it is horrible.

I am holding all of these people close to my heart today.

Wednesday Weird

This post was ready to go, so I will still post it.
