Merry Christmas !

                                                            My Christmas Card this year.

The cards on the right and left are designed by Daughter.

I started my card last year but was so overwhelmed with my various illness and hospital stays that I didn't get it get it done.  So I wanted to finish the card this year but I still am ill and "mrsa" came back with a vengeance . I am tired but. . . . still trying to finish.

This year no matter what I will not let illness hold me down. I will be late sending out cards.

Merry Christmas and I hope for a better New Year for us all.

Christmas in the Desert.

We here in the Desert do not have lots of "Christmas" type trees growing around Tucson but we have cactus.

Century plants are just the best for attaching Christmas Balls to the Tips. Just turn them upside down and "wa laaaa" perfect. We are very different out here.

.On every tree I have decorated (especially after the wildfire) even with just the fairy lights and origami I always put this small drawing of a Christmas tree done by daughter.

Cold and Snow Tucson style.

Light snow on the mountain tops seen from my back yard.

Hard freeze last night and tonight. 

Wonder how many oranges  will be lost.

 It is cold here in Tucson. Somewhat early but nice. 

We need the snow pack to help replenish Tucson's aquifer.

With all the bad weather and massive storms around the United States...

Islands in the sky.

So happy with much needed rain.  Four days of gentle

 rain that soaks into the soil and replenishes the earth.

The Tohono O'odham people of the area call this season 

of winter rains the Female rain as opposed to the  

violent Male Summer rain that are very destructive.

Happy Leftover Day !

Thanksgiving Dinner was wonderful as usual  but I love the next day leftovers the best.

Warm sandwiches made with turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, cranberries, corn pudding, green  beans and gravy. Perfection on a plate.

Several years ago I stopped cooking a whole turkey and Adam started to made Ina Garden's Turkey Roundel. He also changed up her stuffing and made it his own. Perfect just wonderful.

                                                                This is so fabulous.

"Sparrow Tree Journal" showed her wonderful Christmas Plant on her blog. It is beautiful plant with red blooms. So I thought I would post my white blooms. This plant is only 2 years old. all my older plants died off in a bad freeze and were accidentally tossed away. Bummer ! I was trying to save them.

I was watching Brokenwood Mysteries and saw Agatha staring in an episode. I know she is very talented but when did she find time to star in a New Zealand TV Show !
