Someone is really missing Mia.

Mia has turned 8 and is quite an artist. She can draw anything.
She went to a Birthday Party and her gift was a small Shinkansen Bullet Train set.

I gave her a paper to draw a card. She drew the Shinkansen train.

 The inside of the card.

She even drew his baby sister next to their cat and dog not sure about the deer or tall dog.
 ...

Some photos from the week.
This was just over the hill but we did not get any rain.

....

As always here is your pretty for the start of the weekend.

Yuko and Mia few back to Japan.
After a month visit we all miss them very much and a Gud Dug really misses Mia !

A photo Mia took of Mt. Fuji from the window of the plane.
She is really becoming a wonderful photographer.

cheers,  parsnip and badger

  2. A granddaughter to be very proud of. She has your eye. And those are some of the most beautiful photos of iwinston. We are sending him love, comfort and snuggles from Hampshire until he gets used to Mia being back in Japan x

  4. Winston is sad, and his Mom is too! I wish they lived closer, but with Skype now or FaceTime it's better than letters.

  7. Oh, Winston is so sad. Our Fuzzy Pom hates it anytime when our Grandson goes home, and the rest of the time he watches for clues that our grandson may be coming to visit again. He watches for the grandson's toys and stuff that we keep here to be brought out. He used to be able to hear us mention our Grandson's name or that he was coming at a certain time, and Fuzzy would start getting all excited with spinning his happy dance and sniffing and whining at the door while waiting. Since he is almost completely deaf now, he watches for other signs that our grandson is coming. We try not to touch grandson's toys unless he is for sure coming so as not to give Fuzzy a false alarm. It is too sad to see Fuzzy constantly sniffing at the door and whining and worrying when grandson doesn't come after all. I am sure that Fuzzy remembers laying on the floor right next to grandson's pack n play guarding as grandson slept. Fuzzy would stand and and quietly watch over and smell to check on our grandson constantly during the first year when I took care of him while our daughter and son and law were at work.

  9. I suspect Winnie isn't the only one missing Mia something fierce. That month sure did fly by, didn't it? She's a talented artist/photographer just like her grandma.

    Have a wonderful weekend!
