  1. I'm saddened by the death of John McCain. As you say, he was an honorable man and a great American. People like him come along once in a generation, if that. RIP Senator.

  2. I was sad to read of his death. He died of the same thing that the farmer had. Avery aggressive brain tumour with no hope of treatment. His legacy to the people of the US will live on.

  3. A hero and true patriot. He won the presidential primary here in New Hampshire in 2000 and 2008; his 'second' favorite state. So many of us here loved him and so wanted him to be our president. He put up one hell of a fight for this country and in battling a terrible brain tumor. He will be very much missed. RIP Senator McCain. X

  4. He was an extraordinary man and a rare politicians who was more interested in serving his country than he was in toeing the party line or serving his own selfish interests. May he rest in peace.

  5. I hope he knew that those of us he never knew, loved him and held them in the highest regard. I can think of no one of his calibre. I hope someone comes along one day like him.

  6. There are so few honorable men in politics. I was hoping that like Jimmy Carter he'd beat this cancer.

  7. Courage and integrity. A man of honour. And he faced the last stage of his life with grace.

  8. Thank You all. To us long time Arizonans he was truly wonderful. You do not see much of that now.

  9. As a lifelong Democrat, I've always had great respect for John McCain and might have voted for him if he hadn't chosen Sarah Palin as his running mate. I wish there were more politicians like him, people with integrity and morals. America has lost one of its finest.
