  1. i Winston the badger...he is still just adorable and I imagine smells lovely from the grooming. Our 2 definitely need a trim and bath, wish we had a groomer! Beautiful skies!

    1. I love his groomers. You make an appointment like one does for yourself. They specialize in older, big, anxious and other gud dugs. When Watson was so ill they were so sweet and caring to him. With Scotties I like them groomed every 4 to 5 weeks.

  3. At least the light stripe isn't on the middle of his back or you could call him a skunk! :)

  4. I've always been partial to badgers, we take our traveling with us. Our grey-striped tabby turn blonde in the summer.

    1. She said he was a black Scotty but I think there are some white or brindles in his history. I don't care but I think some people might.

  6. Hi, Gayle!

Looks like Winston is finally showing his true stripes! :) It is not clear to me how this happened. I thought Winston is a very young dog. Can you please explain? Now I am the one who is confused. :)

I wish you and your animal companions a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Gayle!

    1. Scotties can be white, brindled and black.
He must have some white Scotties in his background.

  7. I like the badger stripes. It is macho tough guy cool. Some groomers put bows on boy dogs. Phooey on that. This groomer is a keeper.

  8. I kept waiting for the punch line. Is that really his natural coat? It's perfect whatever.

  9. Wow, Winston has got cool stripes! I wonder how the white furs were hiding before - maybe they’ll hide again over time? I love his coat with stripes as much as solid black :-)

    1. I have forgotten the Frances books. I read to all my Scotties about how a Scotty should act.
      iwinston does not believe me.

    2. I've never read them but apparently there's a series of books written for cats. They're all in second-person (second-cat?) because, of course, what cat is remotely interested in a story about another cat?

  12. Somehow I missed this post and wondered why you were calling Winston "badger"...now I get it! So cute!

My Ginger has white and gray fur underneath her black top coat. If we ever had her trimmed I'm sure something similar would happen!
