Great evening, I loved it.
If I was 46 years younger and had knees I would so be there !
My team lost though, 60 to 279 bummer.
.
Winter is coming. and lots of critters are getting ready for the cold weather.
At all my south facing walls (they are warm in winter) lizards and others are digging in.
One morning I open the front door to this.
We think a Kangaroo Rat decided for warm and sheltered in the new home.
.
Well hello there mister cutie pie, where ever you are.
Kangaroo Rats are protected in Arizona.
They are very tiny and super cute !
...................................
And here is your pretty to start the week
a very suprising development !
Nature in the desert.
.
A windstorm knocked over one of my prickly pear cactus and broke off several pads.
I replanted all of them but 3 very tiny baby pad.
Each 2 inches tall.
I had 3 tiny pots with dirt in it and just stuck them in.
They will root and grow.
.
Then I remembered these pot had some very tiny Grape Hyacinths flowers.
And the blubs (?) were still there.
.
I just assumed they would never bloom again, hey this is Tucson and it is Fall.
Well guess what Fall or not, after I water the pots,
.
suprised . . . parsnip
music. . . West End Girls, Pet Shop Boys
I have never been to the roller derby, but I have read a lot about it and it looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteGosh the roller derby is fun !
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
When I was little in the late 1960s they used to have roller derby on TV. I always thought it would be fun to do, of course I did not know how to roller skate, so that might have been an impediment.
ReplyDeleteThis is a smaller venue, so no roller ladies flying over the hand rails but... it was fast and fun.
DeleteLove those little flower pots - do hope the flowers come out nicely.
ReplyDeleteThe little pots are about 2 inches tall too. Tiny and super cute.
DeleteYou don't see many roller derby posts 'round the 'sphere.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted on the hyacinths. That's super cool.
The FTW Ladies are way to cute.
DeleteI can't wait to see what happens with the Grape Hyacinths if they will bloom ?
According to Weaver and Elizabeth they carpet the fields so a wild flower ?
So tiny and lovely, I like them better than regular Hyacinths. and I will post.
Your cactus are beautiful. Love the Pet Shop Boys.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate!
It will be a very interesting surprise.
DeletePet Shop Boys one of my favorites
Just as long as the little critters aren't getting into the house....
ReplyDeleteCacti are quite hardy plants... I'm not surprised they're doing well regardless of windstorm tossings....
They try they try... mostly they are looking for nest near the wall.
DeleteLove the cacti!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen roller derby in years!
They are great fun... this is very small venue so everyone cheers !
DeleteThe roller derby looks like it was great fun!
Delete«Louis» hopes the Kangaroo rat doesn't damage your house!
Sic the Square Ones ® on him if he does!
Yert!
They are so cute though He wouldn't last long in the home with The Square Ones !
DeleteYou have no knees? Are your feet joined to your hips or upper legs? This I gotta see!
ReplyDeleteCheeky....
DeleteNaughty you... I have knees they just don't work.
Not sure they would let me in the rink with my walker !
My hubby and I used to watch roller derby on TV years ago, but I've never seen it in person. That must have been a blast.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant surprise. Grape hyacinths in November... I hope they bloom for you! The weather is so weird. We saw fruit trees in blossom a couple weeks ago. Looked like cherry. The poor misguided things...
derby was too much fun. i'm going to look into season passes for next year.
ReplyDeletei love the photos of the little cactus and their friends :D
Those grape hyacinths must think they have very strange bedfellows:)
