Here is your pretty to start the weekend.
Monsoon Storm Clouds.
My Queen Victoria Agave is blooming.
I noticed a month ago is was drying out, then sure enough the stem started to grow
Not the striking stem and flowers of the Century Agave but still beautiful.
Century Agave at full bloom.
.
Someone still on lookout for lizards.
cheers, parsnip and badger
That agave is incredible. Do they die when they have flowered?
ReplyDeleteYes they die after blooming.
DeleteThat is one tall plant!
ReplyDeleteWinston digging around? Would he do something like that? :)
no no no not my gud dug !
DeleteDoes that gud dug ever actually catch those dastardly lizzzards? Cannot get over his badger transformation since his last haircut...a handsome dude! X
ReplyDeleteYes he does sometimes but they mostly get away
DeleteMiss Kitty is not hunting lizards. Without proper air conditioning she is doing some serious sleeping.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so hot here I can not believe there are any kitties or dog who want to be outside.
DeleteOh the sky, Gayle. Hope those clouds dropped some rain. I love those century plants. And Winston, of course.
ReplyDeleteWe have blue sky and yes we did get some rain.
DeleteSorry to see you got spammed, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely agave. Desert plants are so beautiful.
I am lucky I have not be hit to hard, I have a very small blog.
DeleteHope it's cooling off for you. It finally is here. Can't say I'm much of a fan of summer anymore!
DeleteThose clouds are awesome!
ReplyDeleteOne reason why I love Tucson.
DeleteLove the video :o) And the Agave in front of your mountains.
ReplyDeleteVideo is funny it shows iwinston watching Mia's hands.
DeleteWinston hunting for lizard is adorable :-) Goro was trying to catch lizard the other day, but they are just so fast! Your agave is beautiful. Looks stunning especially with the blue sky in the background!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend xo
Lizards are not allowed on his land !
DeleteI guess living in the desert, Winston finds chasing lizards a good substitute for chasing squirrels.
ReplyDeleteI never saw and agave in real life. Neato.
