Hi Gayle!
ReplyDeleteThose have to be the best pictures ever taken of Winston! A handsome chap he is indeed - a fine figger of a square dog. I needed to look up Tako and think I figured out what that toy represents. Is it short for Takoyaki?
Takoyaki (たこ焼き or 蛸焼) is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan. It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion.
Am I correct or way off base?
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend, dear friend Gayle!
Tako is Japanese for octopus I usually put that in the post but did not this time. His toy is a octopus with many legs.
DeleteTakoyaki is my favorite street food. The best I ever had was from a small stand under the fabulous Osaka Tower but that could have been where I was that made it taste better.
DeleteReally good photos of iWinston this week. He is so photogenic. Liked his hat better than most of them I saw being worn at the wedding. I didn't watch the wedding but I looked at a bunch of fashion photos.
ReplyDeletewoofwoofwoof iwinston is thankin' you for gud words
DeleteLook at him--he's already a good photo subject! But then, that face couldn't take a bad picture....
ReplyDeleteHe has the "look"
DeleteI have never eaten octopus, but saw it grilled over an open fire and it looked good. I hope they aren't really smart, which I read something about. Squid too, though I like them. Winston probably would like the real thing too. And, thank you again for your gift of yummy. I wouldn't have found that around here. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI like it but it is tough. I is really good in takoyaki. Look at Shady's comment.
DeleteI didn't know what octopus was in japanese till I read your post! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like it and it is so pretty cut up
DeleteAh, I was thinking, "that doesn't look like a taco!" Winston is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I've used that one.
You must have or I did find it somewhere. But just look at the sweet foofy face. even though picture come off the computer.
DeleteI think your hat qualifies as a fascinator, Winston. You would have been the best part of the royal wedding.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
It could be a fasciner but iwinston is so fabulous on his own I think it is a hat.
DeleteWhatever you say, Winston.
DeleteOh, Winston definitely should've been at that wedding. He looks much more royal than those Corgis.
ReplyDeleteI like octopus and squid. If they're prepared properly, they aren't tough.
Have a wonderful weekend!
I really only eat it as sushi and takoyaki
DeleteWinston KO'd the Tako!
ReplyDeleteHe sure did !
DeleteTako Friday! Or, Tako Kinyobi!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Now I want so takoyaki.
DeleteHave a nice weekend also.
Can’t say I cared for that one... Japanese cuisine definitely tests one’s limits.
DeleteThat’s a giant tako! Such fun toy and also makes a fancy hat :-) Looks like Winston showed the tako who is the boss!
ReplyDeleteThe last image is so me as well!
I wish we lived closer, I need some cat help, Niko and Goro help !
DeleteHe would have out-hatted everyone at the wedding with his octopus 🐙
ReplyDeleteI think so also !
DeleteWishing you and gud dug iwinston a wonderful holiday weekend! X
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend too !
