Square Dog Friday. . . Art !

Many many years ago when Watson and thehamish lived here,
thehamish dabbled in Performance Art.
Of course his art material of choice was food !

I swear this is what I saw in his dish

tree standin'  alone

one is comin' back
.

.
Watson was the art critic . . .

.............

.........Now iwinston has taken up the performance art

.
tomany  dancin'
.............

Daughter was unpacking some of her art

I was able to take a photo of the Birds.
...

So lucky to have the Black Bird.

 This is a book.

When you pick up his right wing you will find a map of his travel.

More Art. . .

When Granddaughter was here over Christmas, she found a very small notebook
and drew these very fun and tiny drawings with one that Daddy made.

I taped them up in my pantry so I could see them every day.

...

Food as Art !

Put seaweed down. Fill mold (on both sides) with rice. Push down on rice with top.
Fill one side with filling and then close the pink box.

You end up with a terrific Onigiraze. Much easier that Onigiri (rice ball)
I added the Umeboshi !

.
So good and super easy.

......

And as always here is you pretty to start the weekend.

  1. I like the little drawings in your pantry. I have some notes my children wrote to me years ago that are inside my kitchen cabinets.

  3. Hi, Gayle!

Artistic ability runs in your family, dear friend, right down to your gud dugs. My dog Toto worked in a different medium - poop art. :) Your granddaughter's dainty little masterpieces make festive accents for your cupboard. Those bird figures are astonishing in their natural detail. Those Japanese-style sandwiches look delicious!

Have a fine weekend and a happy Mother's Day, dear friend Gayle!

  8. Not to diminish thehamish's artistic abilities, but your daughter's art collection is fantabulous. Love your granddaughter's pictures, too. Our fridge is covered with drawings the grands gave us, and inside one of my kitchen cabinets is a crayon drawing of a sailboat that our older son drew in there about 45 years ago. Sure, I could wash it off... but I like it there. (Not that I was a big fan of it at the time!)

    Happy Mother's Day!

  10. I adore blackbirds. Many gather and live around our home and I'm quite certain they know who I am. Sometimes they follow me around and go from tree to tree keeping me company while outside. Those sculptures you've displayed are beautiful.

Mia is a talented little thing and displaying her artwork is a wonderful way to keep her close. Happy Mother's Day dear friend Gayle. Hugs to that gud dug. X

    1. I read where a young girl feed the Blackbirds that where at her bus stop. They would follow her home. She started to feed them in her yard and they would bring her gifts by leaving them at the feeding table.
Happy Mum's Day big hug back at to you
