Here is your pretty for the start of the weekend.
During the monsoon season, I see the rain swirling all the time next to my home.
On Wednesday it was a snow not rain whirling around my home.
cheers, parsnip
Hi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you take of natural phenomena outside your desert home - so beautiful. Gosh, what happened to Merida? I know from experience with my Toto that those cones drive a recovering animal crazy. I hope the cone comes off soon so that Merida can go back to being a regular catty again.
Winston does an excellent job as an undercover security guard, pretending to be asleep on the lounge chair. I pity the cardboard box that tries to invade his territory. Wait till Winston spots a herd of peccary. He'll go ballistic!
Enjoy your weekend, dear friend Gayle!
awwwww Thank You, I hope you have a nice weekend with some rain ?
DeleteGood to see iwinston taking his security job seriously. Hope Merida is better soon, nobody likes the cone of shame.
ReplyDeleteShe was not a happy kitty when she came home !
DeleteWhat a good security dog he is becoming - ever watchful, even from a sleeping position.
ReplyDeleteThat is so hard to look like that and not sleep !
DeleteOh, not the cone of shame! Poor Merida. She'll be happy to get it off.
ReplyDeleteFor a serious professional guard dog, Winston does seem to like lounging on the chair.
It is all gud dug undercover work ! See he fooled even you !
DeletePoor Merida! How did she end up with the Cone of Shame?
ReplyDeleteWinston sure seems to enjoy Square Dog Fridays!
She chew (?) something and it got infected. Got a short and the cone of shame. She is 13 and as we now things take longer to heal. She is not happy !
DeleteEveryday is Square Dog Friday.
I'm reading this inside of a supply closet! We're having an active shooter drill at the school. Talk about security!
ReplyDeleteI love iwinston!
Gosh.... I know it is a drill but I hope the children will be ok.
ReplyDeleteHappy to know iwinston gave you something to read !
He’s looking so grown up these days.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so much like thehamish that sometimes it breaks my heart.
DeleteMerida doesn't look at ALL happy. Poor thing.
ReplyDeleteYears ago, we saw a dog wearing one of those cones, and our daughter asked why he was wearing it. Before I could respond, one of her brothers said, "He's deaf! It helps him hear..." :)
Have a super weekend. Cheers!
I love your son !
DeleteSuch beautiful pics of your world, Gayle.
ReplyDeleteI live in a beautiful place, I am very lucky
DeletePoor Merida. She looks seriously pissed off about the cone. Hopefully Winston will follow Oliver's lead and give Merida some space.
ReplyDeleteShe is so upset. She is her own cat and when she wants to be left alone she wants to be alone.
DeleteWinston is such a gud dug! He is doing undercover work really well :-)
ReplyDeletePoor Merida. I’m sorry she had owie :-( I hope she gets better soon and can take off the cone.
Happy weekend! xo
Yes, he is a gud dug working hard.
DeleteOr hardly working ?
I had a cat who needed one of those cone things once. It got interesting when the bathing instinct took over. Instead of licking his fur, he licked the inside of the cone.
ReplyDeleteShe just sits there looking the "look"
DeleteHead of Security is lying down on the job? Lol 🌵
ReplyDeletePardon.... he is working very hard !
DeleteOr is that hardly working ?
Oh, the cone of shame... poor kitty
ReplyDeleteNot happy is a huge understatment
DeleteWe have a new furball at our house. Pictures next week. This one is not camera shy!
DeleteI am so happy... more to love and to purr love back.
DeleteI would feel pretty secure with Winston on the job, however forcing the Cone of Shame upon a kitty is asking for it. Don't turn your back.
ReplyDeleteShe is not a happy kattie at all.
DeleteMerida only loves my son who adopted the black bonded brother and sister. They are 13 now and live a very good life.
Had to laugh xxxx They hate those colours don't they. Thanks for your message - will email you. Dxx
ReplyDeleteSo very true !
DeleteIn England the cone goes by the rather grand name of Elizabethan collar, not that dogs and cats could care less, whatever it's called it makes them feel miserable!
ReplyDeleteOh, iwatson, what a lovely boy.
Your last photo is very beautiful.
Oops, I meant winston! I like his position on the sunbed.
DeleteSon calls it an Elizabethan Ruff !
DeleteThe area you live in is so beautiful. iwinston is doing a great job as the security guard. Thanks for sharing these amazing pictures.
