What a last few days, do not want to go through that heat again.
On Saturday it was 118. I was making sure all the wild animals had water.
Plus I had the outside my fenced yard, big sprinklers on twice
to help cool the plants and animals off.
We had so many super hot days leading up to Friday/Saturday the
earth had no time to cool off.
On Saturday evening at 9:25 when I went to bed it was 102.
Sunday morning at 9:30 it was 92 already.
Today it is suppose to be 102. I hope so we need the cooler weather.
Looking east Sunday evening
I just love all the shadow photos I have taken of thehamish.
Ruler of the whole world and beyond Merida on son's bed.

I have posted this before but this is how I have been feeling in the hot hot hot summer days.
cheers, parsnip
Desert living in the summer must be brutal. Stay hydrated.
ReplyDeleteIt has always been hot here but in 72 years I have lived here off and on, it has been getting so much hotter. Last year it was not this hot. We locals know to do things early or late.
DeleteThe afternoon is for working at your job or inside the home. We all know who are the tourist are.
Scary to think that 102 can be called cooler.
ReplyDeleteYou would not think so but it is.
DeleteWe have damnable heat here too. I just can't function when it is hot. But, 118 is definitely too hot.

DeleteIt is too hot but I have AC so I am good. I try to help the animals around here because of the sun and heat. We are destroying their habitat, I am trying to help just a bit.
DeleteYes, I feel sorry for those in CA that don't have AC. I think they go to museums or McDonald's.
DeleteThat heat is terrible. I hope your air conditioning can keep up.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Me Too !
DeleteWhat big teeth you have, Hamish!
ReplyDeleteLove that photo his lip caught
DeleteThat is indeed high temperature, hopefully things cool down a bit and rain arrives. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteAny cool down will help. It has only been 107 the last todays sounds awful but it helps.
DeleteStay cool my lovelies! I saved four degrees by moving from the desert! Lol
ReplyDeletewe all have to live where we are and just do our best
DeleteI just saw the weather forecast for your area. And the fires.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet Hamish, Merida and Oliver are happy to be indoors, too!
Everyone is very happy inside.
DeleteThought about you while watching the national weather reports! The MITM was out in L.A. right as the recent heat wave was happening, but fortunately our daughter had AC and it was working! Stay cool, sweetpea. ;) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love my AC it is my one Luxury beside having my Scotties.
DeleteHope you are drinking lots of liquids and staying inside in the cool. The sky photos are wonderful but Hamish and his cats are the ones I love!
ReplyDeleteYes in Arizona summer is for indoors chores.
DeleteWe had 93 in England last week. Most unusual and most places don't have A/C. It was humid too which made it harder. I think 118 would do for me. Hope your weather cools down soon. I bet the animals don't like it either!
ReplyDeleteTo me 93 in England is awful much like our 118.
DeleteHope your rain comes and cools everyone down.
It's been cool here in the evening and morning. It was so nice that we opened windows. I wish I could send some cool air to you! Love the shadow photo. It looks like thehamish has a long neck :-) And I love the weird yawning face :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have the evenings cooling off.
DeleteI reckon that pretty potato is fully cooked now. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a potato but it is the fruit of a prickly pear plant.
