Photos from around my home.
Son will drive me around today to take some photos of the yellow
Palo Verde hillsides.

The birds are already looking for the blooms.
The above two "Echinocereus" cactus or as I call them Easter Cactus (they bloom around Easter) were eaten by packrats. Not happy ! So not happy !

The next 6 photos Son took for me. He walked out and about around the house to get some
clearer bloom photos.
Javelina trails next to my fence.
He is really a great photographer.

ReplyDeleteHe is very special in his own mind.
DeleteHi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed these new shots of all four of your animals, dear friend. Looks like Merida is ready for a cat nap. Your property and surrounding lands are stunning. I greatly admire your prickly pear pads and their showy flowers. I'm sorry pack rats nibbled on your Easter Cactus. Winston must have been asleep at his post if he didn't catch them in the act. Did you try climbing that beanstalk up to the sky? :)
Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Gayle!
The friggin packrats ate then down to nothing.... arggggg THEY COME OUT AT NIGHT AND DESTROY.
DeleteThe cacti blooms look lovely.
ReplyDeleteOliver looks quite stoic.
Merida knows how to seriously yawn.
Winston has a good profile.
And Agatha is caught in the moment before she killshreddestroys the toy.
The cats are old so they really just hang out and the gud dugs are just gud dugs right now.
DeleteOh my, your scenery (both inside and outside) is magnificent. What wonderful things you get to see when you wake up in the morning.
ReplyDeleteAfter the x walked out I had to move from Laguna Beach a place a really loved and all my friends. Moving back to Tucson, where I grew up and went to school was a easy choice. I love my view and all my animals.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful everything looks! You have such gorgeous plants. It is also a treat to see Oliver and Merida. The gud dugs look like they are in charge and taking good care of everything. Enjoy your week and your beautiful views!
ReplyDeleteOliver is such a sweet boy but a Scaredy Cat. Merida is a princess and could care less about what you think of her.
DeleteYou and Son both are great photographers.
ReplyDeleteHe has a such a Good Eye and I wish he would take more photos.
DeleteBeautiful photos of plants and blooms! And fur kids! I especially love the photo of Winston. His wavy beard is adorable :-)
ReplyDeleteHe is such a naughty boy but I love him !
DeleteI like how blue the mountains look in that one picture.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the day, weather and how bad my phone camera is that the mountains turn blue or purple.
DeleteI love see the plants you have- so completely different to here.
ReplyDeleteI've never visited anywhere with a desert, so I'm always amazed to see how beautiful the cacti flowers are. You've chosen a lovely place to live. (But way too hot for me!)
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's day!
Those cacti are amazing! The cats and dogs are lovely!
ReplyDeleteOne forgets how pretty the desert can be. Lovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteSo sunny! Spring is emerging here finally, but there is still much rain to endure.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your photographs :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
