    2. A good amount on the ground, and the canal has a section open for skaters, a day or two before New Year's, which hasn't happened in a few years.

  4. I love that Saguaro Buche de Noel! The pictures of Winston out patrolling in snow are cute. He looks like he may have tasted some of the snow, too. All of your gud dogs look like they are enjoying being cozy inside with their box of new toys.

Winston must have been amazed by the snow. How funny that he wanted to sleep in it. The beautiful giant Collie that we once had for years used to absolutely love to lay on his side, on a sunny snowy day and sleep in the snow. The wind would blow and ruffle his beautiful sable and white fur and he would continue to lay stretched out in the sun on the snowy hillside in the wintery sun. He loved that. Many times I would get worried about him all stretched out, so still, that I would go wake him up to see if he was ok. He was always just fine. The hot weather was harder on him than the snow. He was always very dissatisfied to be inside of the house instead of being outside in the fenced yard.

My little old Fuzzy Pomeranian is only 8 1/2 lbs and feels the cold very quickly, even though he has a lot of fur. He is too busy running around marking his territory whenever he is outside, he would never take time to lay down in the snow. I think he would get cold very quickly.

Happy New Year to you and all of your gud dogs.

    1. What a wonderful Note. Collies were breed for watching the flocks ? or something like that. With all the hair and fur he just loved being with his Collies Roots.
Are not our gud dugs so funny ?
Friend Steph is saving "up her pennies' to find a Pomeranian of her very own. Maybe next year.
They are so tiny but with BIG personality !
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Winston is a huge pain, he knows it and doesn't care. Scotties are the cats of the dog world,

  10. Yep. My Lily thinks it is perfectly reasonable and natural to recline in the snow. A double coat helps, of course. LOL

    Such gorgeous pictures!

  16. When a person looks at their dog is seems like they are always sleeping. It seems like a dog is able to sleep any time of the day or right. This has people wondering how much sleep do dogs need. They need more sleep then a person would think. The dog is not sleeping just to be lazy but to get enough rest.
