As always here is your pretty to start the weekend.
Mia (middle) was dressed as Kiki Delivery Service and so was the girl next to her.
You can see Jiji the talking cat on the friends shoulder. Mia carried Jiji in the little
wicker cage that you can't see.
Mia and family were there because of David's work with the International Exchange Group.

cheers, parsnip
You got some wildlife around where you live.
ReplyDeleteYesh we do !
DeleteSome are moving down the mountain to the more warmer areas.
The doggies are quite impatient!
ReplyDeleteThe javelina and the bobcat are impressive!
chkikin strips are very important.
DeleteI ordered a box of tuff chew toys from Bark Box for Agatha. So on Christmas we will let her pick one or go crazy with Winston to help. Truffles will be watching she is not a toy gud dug.
Photos to follow.
Awww Winston, there are lot of “not Santa” out there, but he will come to see you for sure :-)
ReplyDeleteMia-Chan is so cute as Kiki!
She was a darling Kiki
DeleteHi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteThose Winston poses are precious, dear friend, suitable for framing and hanging on the wall! We used to laugh at our Toto because she behaved the same way whenever we said, "Toto, Santa's coming," or "Toto, the Easter Bunny's coming." She would run to the window barking and crying, rear up on her hind legs with her front paws on the glass and search in every direction. You should explain to Winston that the peccary and bobcat are "Santa's helpers." :)
What a glorious burst of color on your Prickly Pear! Thanks for showing us Trick-or-Treat Japanese style and the costumes worn by your granddaughter Mia and her friend.
Have a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Gayle!
Our gud dugs are just the best ! We are so lucky.
DeleteNo doubt that Scottish darling will have told the other two all about Santa.
ReplyDeleteJust as long as he can get his share he is a bit jealous.
DeleteYou do get th best animals in your yard, love the bobcat. Tell iWinston to hang in there, Santa will be there soon. Your Granddaughter is getting so grown up looking.
ReplyDeleteI love our wildlife.
DeleteHoly smokes...is that a bobcat? You grow them big down there! And we certainly do not have any of those cute Javelinas hanging around. Are the bobcats after the Javelinas for lunch? And are the Javelinas after your prickly pears? The plot thickens! X
ReplyDeleteYes that is a Bobcat and he was a very big one. The Bobcats leave the Javelina alone but the Javelinas love Prickly Pear.
DeleteWow, Mia sure is growing up fast! (Then again, I guess they all do...) She's a lovely young lady.
ReplyDeleteThose silly dogs. Why look for Santa when they've already got... YOU? :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Yes they do have me !
DeleteYou got prefect photos for the narrative. I hope Santa is good to you all this year.
ReplyDeleteSANTA !
DeleteYour dogs are so wonderful to look at! Such expressive faces. But I am glad your wildlife doesn't live in NE Ohio. Of course, we have our own problems, woodchucks, skunks, deer, the occasional fox, possums......But javelins and bobcats look scary!
ReplyDeleteWe have many of the same critters.
DeleteI didn't post the Mountain Lion who appears. Now she/he was big.
..not santa...not santa... You crack me up.
ReplyDeleteSANTAAAAAAAAAAAA !
Deletecan you be coming
Wow. That would s some collectors of Not Santas. If you lived here, the dogs would be saying Not The Three Kings. Not The Three Kings.
ReplyDeleteBeing raised Polish Catholic we celebrated The Feast of Epiphany or Three Kings Day Trzech Kroli, January 6
DeleteWhat does iwinston make of the wildlife? I love the photos of him waiting for 🎅 Mia is getting so grown up!
ReplyDeleteHe barks like crazy. Trouble is they would make short work of him.
DeleteWhen I first moved here Winston and ihamish were barking at the iron fence, I walked out to quiet them and there was a big coyote checking them out. They doubled teamed him.
Coyotes can jump any fence along with the Bobcats and Mountain Lions
Mia is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pups, but as my daughter (super nana) says when she's here, "Too much nature!" about the bobcats, havelinas, and holy moley, mountain lions!! I'm glad iwinston, truffles, and agatha just bark from INSIDE the house! xoxo
They bark outside but I am always home so I listen for them. They never go out alone at dark without me.
DeleteGood grief. Living in a country where our native wildlife does not view our fur-babies as a quick lunch snack it is quite a shock to see a bobcat wandering through your garden. Now I finally "get it" when I have read about people not letting their dogs out at night for fear of them being taken.
ReplyDeleteHow is dear old Mrs Tuffles doing?
I will post on Monday on Truffles, we almost lost her.
DeleteSuch beautiful photographs and I love your captions they make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteI think your Prickly Pear bloom is a lovely colour... and the smiles in your last photograph are wonderful.
All the best Jan
Awwwww Thank You Scotties make the best faces !
ReplyDeleteMia and friend are very sweet.
That bobcat looks scary!! Don't worry iWinston, Santa's coming!
