Wednesday in Japan. . . trains

Third on my list of "favorite" things" about Japan are the trains.
Beautiful trains from the Shinkansen (bullet train) all the way to the small local trains.
They run on time, are super clean, you can eat in them (I will do another post on train food) and best of all NO talking on your phone !
Yes, at rush hour they do get super crowded but then so do the trains in any major city.

Japanese son is a real train person. There is a very big train riding culture in Japan.
He will take off for a weekend or several days and ride a train to certain city or place. His goal is to ride every train system in Japan.  If you check his blog (sleepytako) on my side bar you can see some of his latest trips.
Of course his camera is never far away and he sends me photos of his trips.

Every year he buy this desk train calendar.

And just because he can, he entered some photos.
One of his photos was accepted for the calendar. It is a snow view (I remember this photo)
and it was placed on my birthday ! Can you believe it ?
The stars, moon and sun were in aliment.
He always sends me my birthday calendar day, next year it will be very special.
.

Here is another photo of his and you can see the train at the middle of the page.
I remember riding this train and this area leading into Osaka.
This is one of my favorite photos of his.
.........................
and just because I can here is your pretty for the day

It is not a train photo
but I really like it. I have posted it before.

  8. Neat snow shot! («Louis» likes trains, too. The best train ride he ever had was when he flew to London, then took the Aerostar to Gare du Nord in Paris.)

Fabulous sunset shot! «Louis» will check back later today for the Friday post about The Square Ones ®.
