Best  Christmas Tree ever.

I love the upside down name.

One of her Dad's photos will be on the "Today Show" on the 10:30 segment,
On December 24.

I have no idea why or how they found it ?

I don't watch the "Today Show"  so I have no idea what this is about.

The photo is of people lined up to get KFC in Japan for Christmas.

Christmas has no real religious meaning in Japan.

But to make a long story short....

Around 1970, a customer remarked that a land free of a turkey for a celebration dinner 

fried chicken was the next best thing.

KFC heard this and ran away with it.

"Kurisumasu ni wa kentakii" or Kentucky for Christmas. 

The popularity of American culture at that time plus a huge KFC

campaign has made this a fun tradition. 

You will see lines outside every KFC  

complete with a statue of Colonel Sanders dresses as Santa.

Happy Birthday Monday and a Christmas card.

Today is second Sons Birthday.

He has been such a huge help to me as I try to recover.

Plus he is the best chef ever. Indian food being one of his favorites.

ummmmmm mine too.

I am so lucky to have such great son.

I shot them three times and could not get the background white color right.

 Really this is suppose to come out white and not beige .

I always add some information about what I have drawn.

 I also made a Christmas Watson ornament to go inside.

I printed the cards and ornament instead of going to the printers.
So I had to print, fold, glue and cut each card. Plus I ran out of paper !

Oh My Goodness.

I don't even have a card.  I need to print up a few for my portfolio.

These snow globes are my favorite decoration.
I have not found any nice ones for several years.

 But I found this tiny wind up Santa riding on the clouds.

 On the credenza I put my favorite Christmas cards and tiny lights.

Wednesday In Japan. . . Christmas fun

Yes, it is Christmas everywhere. Even in Japan.
But New Year is still the main Holiday.

Excitement is building especially if your are a 5 years old.

..........

 Christmas Tree at the mall.

 This doesn't have anything to do with Christmas but Mia decided that now she wanted 

her long "Elsa" hair cut. And it was very long.

 She looks happy and she was !

 New haircut and her Christmas cookie made at her school.

That is an angel if you couldn't tell.

 She is very excited for her Dad to see her sing at the Christmas show.

So she did this painting to show her Dad sitting and watching her sing.

I have heard the song and it is wonderful. She sang it for me.

............

So I fibbed.

This is Tucson morning when a storm blew in.

 Lots of clouds.

  More clouds.

 Temps dropped and rain came, where I live in the foothills.

 Then the clouds lifted and we had light snow on the foothills

where I live and lots of snow on the Catalina Mountains.

Only problem this is our late January/February weather.

Not our December weather !
