Square Dog Friday. is that my dog ?

Agatha and iwinston went to the Groomers on Tuesday

We let iwinston go too long between his "herbal body wraps and spa day.

He was looking a bit shaggy and Agatha had never been, best guess.
Don't think the hoarder took her to the groomers.

.
Agatha came back with all her Terrier hair cut off.

Beautiful !

.
She was a little shy about the cut I think ?

It was very tiring for both of them. iwinston took a nap with some toys.

Love the little ears showing.

iwinston's spa day lasted a day before he wanted to bury the chew stick.

Burying the chew stick in the grass.

Nap time, being beautiful is so hard.

Sweet Agatha.
We are going to let her hair grow out and maybe do a longer cut next time with her ears and eyebrows left longer.
When she came running around the coroner to see me, all tail wagging and happy to be home she looked a bit embarrassed and worried. We told her see we always bring you back to home because we love you.
. . . . .

Here is your pretty for the weekend.

cheers,  parsnip

  1. The two gud dogs look lovely, and I think Agatha looks younger with her new do.

    1. Do you give your gud dugs baths or send them to the groomers ? They are both big with lots of hair and fur.
Daughter give the baths to the gud dugs when needed. Thank Goodness I can't do it any more.

    2. I shower them in the backyard with the hose when it's warm enough. I brush Franklin. Penelope doesn't require brushing, thank god.

  2. What beautiful gud dugs with their new hairstyles! If this was Agatha's first cut she may have thought it felt funny at first but I'm sure she's loving it. I love the funnies! Have a good weekend!

    1. With Agatha and her Betty Davis Eyes you can never tell what she is thinkink This is her 3rd year with us and I think she is becoming more settled and has a voice now.

    1. For iwinston he gets messy as soon as he can. Being Beautiful is a wet messy beard from drinking before I can take photos.

  4. I think they both look adorable after their cuts - Agatha does look rather shy so please tell her from me that she looks so beautiful

  5. Dear Sweet Agatha,
Getting a short cut feels weird to me too. Don't worry.
    It WILL grow back!

    1. I tell her, she looks pretty pretty princess but I like her messy Terrier face.

  6. I've never had any of our Cairns professionally groomed but the older I get, the better an idea it seems to be! Dottie Dogg better watch her step. It's a lot of work keeping those gud dugs tidy and sweet smelling. Your groomer did a great job. One more jab next week and then perhaps I can consider visiting the hair salon again. I'm looking like Winston's "before" picture right now. Have a great weekend friend Gayle.

    1. I can't believe you never had the sweethearts groomed ? Did you trim them yourself ? Scotties need or I like the Scotty cut.
I get my second shot at the end of the month. I usually cut my hair or what is left of it. Since before Covid rarely went out. That is what hats are for.

    2. The breeder of our very first Cairn (which sadly, seems like a million years ago) gave me a very good, hands on instruction on how to groom a Cairn. It mostly involves 'stripping' the coat, not cutting the furs. But honestly, it can be lots of work! Most groomers want to give a Cairn Terrier a 'Westie' cut. Cute, but not right. So I have a special German made 'stripper' comb designed for terriers and it works wonderfully. Baths are another issue. Never had a Cairn who enjoyed a bath....unless it involved mud out in the yard. :-)

  7. Agatha looks so pretty! And of course her brother Winston is a handsome charmer! Mr. George has no need of haircuts so he just gets the occasional bath at home.

  8. They both look wonderful. I do though agree that Agatha does need a bit more hair. Winston seems to take it all in stride. You capture their personalities beautifully. Jean from Manitoba Canada

    1. They are so funny and Agatha needs to be home and see where I am. I am the one who saved her so she is dependent on me.
