Square Dog Friday, Wall of Doom

Best day of the week is here.
Square Dog Friday.

Son has been saving boxes for several months, so he could build a wall.
A wall of Doom for mandibles !

We thought that if iwinston saw this wall he would go crazy and
destroy it, boxes flying everywhere !
Good idea but we found out something interesting.
Winston likes to destroy one box at a time.
Plus he is a bit afraid of things. He doesn't have Hamish to teach him about
the big world so he has to work things out by himself.

He is a very cautious. When something is new or out of place
he barks first and then slowly checks thing out.
While he didn't bark he was careful.

We knocked a box over and then hid a toy to help him.
We left everything there because I think it is a hoot !
He does play with one box at a time especially if I play with hm.

Love both of his little paws in the air as he jumps around.

As always here is you pretty for the weekend.

Woke up Thursday morning and this is what I saw on my way to the kitchen.
The Texas Sage had burst into flower.

It will bloom several times summer.

I need to get the gardeners to thin out the plant.
When it gets too full and thick the plant gets overwhelmed.

Have a lovely weekend.

cheers,  parsnip

  1. I love watching him watching the boxes so carefully. Wish there would have been something like a little wiggling rat or something inside. It is so fun to watch our babies. That bush is gorgeous. My neighbor has one not nearly as pretty but it grows better than lavender around here. Have a good one too.

    1. we have a small hopping toy we could put in.

  2. Hi, Gayle!

Winston must have been looking at the calendar thinking it was Christmas! :) It was hilarious and heartwarming to watch him circling the stack of boxes, sniffing, head-butting, growling, retreating and repeating the cycle.

That Texas Sage bush is gorgeous. What a sight to see from your window!

I wish you, your square gud dug and your katties a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Gayle!

  3. Lovely colour on that sage!

Winston must have been thinking, 'that wasn't there earlier...'

    1. He does that a lot, it I put something new in a place he is very cautious.

  4. A Dancing Winston!! And a beauriful bush in full bloom Gayle.

  5. That was too funny. Loved him with his feet in the air.

  6. Winston has more restraint than most dogs... or cats. Our cats would be in heaven with that many boxes to play with at one time. They've never met a box they didn't love, and it amazes us how they can squeeze into boxes we don't think could possibly hold them. What would we do without our furry kids to entertain us? :)

Have a wonderful weekend. That sage is gorgeous.

  7. He’s such a puppy still in some ways i think. Loved the video, thank you x

    1. He is still apuppy but he need Ted because Hamish is not here to teach him.

  8. It Is interesting that Winston gets so cautious with a group of boxes! He is so adorable in the video :-) And I love the photo of him with his paws in the air!
Your sage looks beautiful. Have a great weekend!

  9. Winston shows a very sensible approach with his one box at a time. The fun lasts longer!

  10. Winston looks like he is being very cautious around those boxes lol Thanks for the share, love checking out your blog. Looks like Winston is enjoying himself this weekend. Keep up the posts.
