CHRISTMAS !
My Christmas card this year.
...
I decorate the credenza every year with my favorite cards.
Last year I had so many displayed. This year not so many.
All my Japanese cards are fun to display. They play songs, light up and spin.
Son sent me this one first. I adore it.
The tree has twinkling light with Santa and all the forest animals.
It plays "I wish you a Merry Christmas".
Why have one Santa when you can have 90 !

Snow Globes in the library.

Gayle, I want you to know that Gregg and I love the card you sent! It might be our favorite so far this year! I hope you got the one I sent you. Our mail on this end is funny sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYour home is GORGEOUS. I know I've told you that a hundred times, but it's true.
I love your cards on the credenza, and your snowglobe collection, and the origami tree, and the photos of the outside tree....! It's all beautiful!
Yes I did get your card and thank You so much . I enjoy cards as much as my tree. The must important part of Christmas to me is the reason why we have Christmas minus all the stuff.
DeleteThat said my gift to me and my family is my Christmas Tree ! The snow globes are the ones I love the best and when I get a Christmas card. A nice dinner with whoever is around and the music. Presents are only the fluff.
Thank You for your view of my home. I re-designed some parts of it but it is just the way I like it simple. and can live there. And just in case I have to use a wheelchair I can get around. Quiet is good !
I loved your tree this year and just how lovely it is. I adore looking at people's trees everyone is special.
Beautifully done, and you're well decorated for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIt is very easy and I love sitting there having the music on and enjoying the lights.
DeleteHi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteYour son is very thoughtful. I love the cards you received and the festive look of your beautiful house, inside and out. Tiny white lights are my favorite to create a magic mood.
Merry Christmas to you and Winston, dear friend. I hope my good buddy finds chkikin' under the tree Christmas morning!
Yes, he has chkikin' and two fishes jerky type chew sticks, a bark box and a huge chew toy. He is covered for Christmas
DeleteYou have a gift as indicated by this lovely post.
ReplyDeleteAww Thank You so much, I hope you received your card ? Two friends said they haven't ?

ReplyDeleteI love the snowmen snow globes the best
DeleteThank you for the card. It's adorable, especially the little sketch of Mandibles.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Yes... I forgot him so I had to draw him on all the cards.....dur
DeleteLove the cards, especially the ramen shop and the Mt. Fuji/Santa train one.
ReplyDeleteI love the ramen shop too. that is a phone charm but I had to leave it on the card. I miss the street food
DeleteI love your card. I didn’t know Road runners were members of the cuckoo family.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know they are part of the cuckoo family.
DeleteJust like Javelinas are part of the Hippopotamus family and they are NOT pigs !
We desert people and animals are very strange !
Great card!! I love your gorgeous Christmas card and snowglobe displays, too! Happy Christmas! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it wasn't too scary when it came out of the envelope. I love my snowglobes. I did not see any I have liked the last two years.
DeleteLove the Japanese cards, I got your card yesterday. I collect snow globes to. Our daughter has just told us of a hotel in Tokyo that has a huge Godzilla head on top of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is young Winston thinking of his first Christmas?
I have a photo of the hotel with the huge Godzilla I want to stay there sometime. Has she been there ? I rarely visit Tokyo anymore. I love Osaka.
DeleteHe doesn't know it is Christmas, other than I have been busy and he wants to play.
We can only echo Jennifer's compliments - we too love your home - and the beautiful decorations. And mandibles too - he's so cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas to you all, and best wishes for good health, peace, and happiness in 2018.
Love from Inca, and the tall person who feeds her ! xx
I adore Inca from your story of her.
DeleteMerry Christmas nice tall person who feeds her from the nice tall person who feed mandibles.

ReplyDeleteDiana
I hope you have a lovely warm Merry Christmas.
DeleteGayle, I just can't begin to tell you the pleasure your wonderful flowers have given me this morning. When the postman rang the bell and I opened the door to a lovely vase of red flowers in the arms of the postman, I couldn't believe they were for me. Then I read the message. Your support throughout this very difficult year for me has been so much appreciated and the flowers are the icing on the cake. Thank you so much dear blogging friend - and not forgetting Mandibles too of course. 2018 starts a new beginning for me and with the help of all my blogging friends I know I shall rise to new heights. A very happy Christmas to you and your family (furry and otherwise) - and a happy new year too. This comes with my love. Pat
ReplyDeleteI love you Pat and wish we lived closer but I know you have wonderful friends all around you.
Deletecheers, gayle and mandibles

ReplyDeleteI hope you and ThePip have a wonderful Christmas.

I love the card! Your house looks merry and bright!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Christmas !
DeleteYou really know how to do Christmas, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteCollin and I got our card--it's beautiful! I'm not doing cards this year. So many of the people I know--most of them--don't send them anymore.I know most people don't keep them afterward, and I hate to see beautiful creations end up in a landfill.
Quite a change from years ago, when my parents used to hang dozens of cards on our walls....
My decorations are very easy to put up and take down. The snow globes are in the credenza, fairy light too. The tree lights and origami in one bag in the garage. The cards are in two drawers in the credenza. So it easy. Only problem it takes longer with all the health problems. But still pared down and easy.
DeleteI hope you and Collin have a lovely Holiday.
What beautiful decorations! I love the Japanese Christmas cards!
