Ouch!That watermelon must have really hurt bad. I'm sorry that Winston has ha a setback, I hope healing will go ahead and continue now. Poor Agatha, so afraid. I wonder what happened to make her so afraid of storms. Don't you wish she could talk to you about it.
ReplyDeleteMy childhood, big , 100 lb collie was afraid of storms after he got to be old. What happened that made him afraid the rest of his life was that lightning hit the chain link back yard fence. Sir Lancelot was nowhere near the fence, nor the electrical charge from it, but the noise and the light scared him and he was nervous when he heard or smelled a storm coming in from then on.
My little Fuzzy Pom has never been afraid of storms, now that he his deaf he is barely even aware of them, never cared about them one way or another even before he was deaf. Just goes to show how every dog is so different from another.
Ouch!!! Hope the toe is OK... and the pups. So sad that such spectacular skies can cause such stress for Agatha.

ReplyDeleteHow on earth do you enforce bed rest with a pet? I am fairly certain that if the vet ever suggested that for one of our kitties, I would simply laugh. Sure, they sleep most of the time anyway but exerting any sort of human will over a cat is a joke.

More like quiet rest . No running, keeping him in a small space again in my studio. Plus I up his meds just a small amount. Keeps him somewhat quiet, have to watch the kidneys and liver.
DeleteYou get a cat condo that lets them move around but little running or jumping.

Poor Winston and poor Agatha! At any rate Agatha will be feeling better once the storm is over. That sky looks pretty ominous to me, although I am sure you must need the rain.
