Oh that heat. A friend of mine flew to Peoria from Seattle for spring training. The pandemic hit and spring training was cancelled. She's finally hoping to get back to Seattle now. The heat is already too much for her.

ReplyDeleteAh yes the heat!! We usually spend 4 weeks in Jan/Feb in Tucson (yes the gem show) been coming for 40 years. Even so early in the year it can be too hot for us and September also. 110 in Phoenix in Feb ,one year.No doubt the dogs are good at finding shade. Hope the virus is not bad in your area.

DeleteAlways went to the gem Show went I lived in Laguna Beach but now that I have moved back to Tucson not so much. Friend was a Designer so I followed around and got some wonderful deals.
Phoenix is always, hot, too much concrete and asphalt. Haboobs and heat.

ReplyDeleteI don't like the dogs swimming in the pool. Scotties either like the water or not. I was going to show the gud dug were the steps are so the can get out If they fall in but so far all is well ?
Their skin gets yucky when they get in the pool often. I have cool places for then and a very nice AC home.

I see its still red hot in Tucson, how horrible for you, your night time temperature would be ok for day time here.
ReplyDeleteWe are about the same distance south from John as you are from Phoenix.
We first came to Tucson in 1976 and it was just the 5 motels on 'the strip' hheld the Gem show much more friendly. It was the first time most people had seen a British credit card.
Try and stay cool and safe, I know that sun can scorch your nose as soon as you go outside. Our dogs prefer our cool valley.
