The tree is in my home but I will decorate on Tuesday.
It is a Wild Douglas Fir. It was in the Tree Farm and this year they
cut it and I found it !
I love this tree so much it looks like a true Sonoran Desert Tree,
Beautiful !
.....
Here is your pretty to start the week.
I want to find a pine cone and try to grow a forest.
.
cheers, parsnip
I love that pine cone and would love to try that myself.
ReplyDeleteHas to be a fresh pinecone not an old one that has popped out the seeds.
DeleteI had forgotten just how much of a handful he was in his early days with you.
ReplyDeleteHe was several handfuls. But a great smile and pink tummy.
DeleteThat open mouthed shot of him is still such fun to see.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo it makes me smile everytime I see him !
DeleteI have never seen a Saguaro Buche de Noel before. Wonderful idea! Your Christmas tree in front of the Santos displayed on the wall is so lovely and peaceful. Do you have a large collection of Santos? I love Santos.
ReplyDeleteThe Hamish not to be forgotten.
I didn't know that pines sprout directly from the pine cone. I thought it was just from scattered seeds from the cone. They look so interesting sprouting directly from the cone.
Not sure if they are Santos for me they are Saints I grew up with.Pine Cones will dry and the seeds will pop out and reseed the land. If you find one that is not dry and lost all the seeds I think you could try this. I want to.
DeleteWhat happy pictures you have shown us today! There's nothing like a young one!
ReplyDeleteWinston was a hand full He even went away to puppy bootcamp !
DeleteThat is a very nice tree and looks wonderful in the pottery. The pine one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find some pinecones.
DeleteLove your flash back photo's, great to look back on.
ReplyDeleteDiana
Lovely Christmas memories.
DeleteOh gosh...I forgot about puppy bootcamp! Dottie would have been an excellent candidate (just like manibles, she's been the craziest puppy we've ever raised) but ten weeks of obedience classes has finally cooled her jets a bit. Finally!
ReplyDeleteThat pinecone is so beautiful. I can't send you any of those as they've been down on the ground for months now and have lost their seeds, but how about some nice White Oak acorns? X
Bootcamp helped but..... he flunked obedience but won the cutest but biggest pain in the butt !
DeleteWonderful photos of past and present. So many lovely memories!
ReplyDeleteHave fun decorating the tree. Maybe Winston and Agatha decide to help you :-)
I think it's a great idea to grow a forest!
I want to grow a baby forest.
DeleteOh, thehamish. I miss him. Mandibles is adorable. I've been doing some decorating, too.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
