    1. Has to be a fresh pinecone not an old one that has popped out the seeds.

  4. I have never seen a Saguaro Buche de Noel before. Wonderful idea! Your Christmas tree in front of the Santos displayed on the wall is so lovely and peaceful. Do you have a large collection of Santos? I love Santos.

The Hamish not to be forgotten.

I didn't know that pines sprout directly from the pine cone. I thought it was just from scattered seeds from the cone. They look so interesting sprouting directly from the cone.

    1. Not sure if they are Santos for me they are Saints I grew up with.Pine Cones will dry and the seeds will pop out and reseed the land. If you find one that is not dry and lost all the seeds I think you could try this. I want to.

  8. Oh gosh...I forgot about puppy bootcamp! Dottie would have been an excellent candidate (just like manibles, she's been the craziest puppy we've ever raised) but ten weeks of obedience classes has finally cooled her jets a bit. Finally!

That pinecone is so beautiful. I can't send you any of those as they've been down on the ground for months now and have lost their seeds, but how about some nice White Oak acorns? X
