Sabino Canyon and Me !

Posted here are some photos from my trip (3 minutes from my home) to

Saguaro National Park East.

This was on 4 January, my Birthday.

 We had a hard freeze several years ago and this cholla cactus was damaged

but it grows on.

 Several windows in the Information Center frame lovely views.

Always my favorite place to take photos.

Bumpy photos from the tram ride up and down Sabino Canyon.

 Yes we have a beach in Tucson !

 And water in the river.

 Vaper trails.

 I so wanted this rock !

It was large and very beautiful.

 On the right lower part of the white rock was some silver mica that sparkles in the sun light.

But not for my camera. 

I love rocks and have my eyes down to the ground as much as they are up looking at the sky.

 This is a photo of a post card. showing you one of the bridges over the river.

they are charming but narrow. When they are repaired they use the same plans so they look the same 

 but with  newer materials.

...this is how my day looked.

 A very healthy looking coyote, about the size of a German Shepard.

 Large herd of Javelinas about 20+

Several tiny babies. One of the twins was much smaller than the other and I worry .

As always here is you pretty for the middle of the week.

My Birthday

Daughter and her flatmates came for New Year and my birthday instead of Christmas.

I am so happy they did plus the weather flying was so much better.
They live in the land of snow and with high temps of 1 somedays.
Goodness that is so cold I can't even think of that.

On my Birthday

daughter made espresso my favorite, and a brunch breakfast.

Then we went to Saguaro National Park East. Daughter bought me my forever Senior Pass 

we took the tram ticket up the mountain. 

They took a few trails down to the river and one loop.

Her flatmates have never been to the Sonoran Desert and enjoyed every day here.

Next post will have photos of the Saguaro National Park East.

 Daughter also cooked a Japanese New Year Day Dinner for us.

Happy Happy New Year to everyone.

This is the year of the Roster.

This year is a Fire sign Roster which means you are Trustworthy and Responsible.

But and this is a huge but, this is the most unlucky in a 12 year cycle.  

Fortune in all aspects will not be very good .

Rosters should be careful in 2017.

But who cares about all that, look how cute this Chick is !

And life is what you make it.

 Japanese Family always sends me a beautiful Zodiac animal each year.

In Japan you send out postcards to arrive on or as close to New Year Day with

the Zodiac sign and best wishes.

I have been sending out my designed postcards for several years now. But this year like 

last year I did not get them finished in time. Too much happening.
