note

One of my most loved bloggers has had some very bad news.
Her husband "The Farmer" from her delightful blog The Weaver,
has found out he has a brain tumor.
I am lighting a candle for them today.
If you wish, spend a second today to send some healing wishes to Yorkshire.
Thank You

  7. I'm so sorry to hear about your blogging pal's husband. Even though treatments have improved astronomically, cancer is still a terrifying diagnosis to hear.

Hamish looks particularly handsome today. In that last close-up, it looks like I should be able to touch his cute little nose and feel the dampness.

    Have a super weekend.

  8. Lurve the close ups of thehamish! That nose! And the funnies were much needed today. Holding a good thought for Weave and her farmer. *sigh* Life takes us through the wringer at times. My heart hurts for her right now. On another note...shall you adopt that beautiful Candycane? X

If we had no cats I would have been their last week for him.
      I really want him.

  9. Oh, thehamish is such a handsome dog, how could any kitty compare to him? If Candycane comes to live with you, we hope he'll the very bestest friend for thehamish, and not like those other snooty kitties.

  15. Parsnip, this has been yet another week when keeping positive, although not easy, has been an excellent direction. Let's keep on keeping on.

I love the photo of the hamish in his basket guarding his toys. I smiled, and smiling is definitely beneficial, particularly in February. xo

Hamish is just the cutest doggie! And I like Candycane, too. I hope he can be adopted and become a good friend to the Hamish.

Your advice about stress and excitement makes so much sense! I think I'll take up that philosophy, too!

  18. Hi, Gayle!

This is a wonderful post - a mix of humor and pathos. I thoroughly enjoyed the cartoons about pets. How true they are! I am amazed at the closeup pictures of thehamish's handsome bearded face. They are keepers for sure. If you are suggesting that you intend to adopt that white cattie candycane instead of acquiring a dog friend for thehamish, then I hope that works out for all concerned.

I will keep your friend in my prayers. Thank you for letting us know about the hardship she is facing. Have a great week and a happy Valentine's Day, dear friend Gayle!
