parley view parsnip... monsoon madness !

Goodness 29 June already ?
It when by in a flash.
I am finally out of bed and somewhat upright.
But poor little gud dug thehamish is still very ill.
His appointment with his eye surgeon is Thursday so we shall
see how the new round of eye drop and antibiotics are doing.
 My guess not helpful.
Even with the lens implants his sight is getting worst.
Our monsoon started on Friday,
Thank Goodness !
Here are just a few photos from the weekend.

And just because I can,
Here is your pretty to start the week.

Square Dog Friday. . . simple days

Oh My Goodness
Thank Goodness
Yes Goodness
It is Square Dog Friday !
We all know the drill so lets
woof it !
I was sitting at the computer and I looked over to see Watson
looking out The Square Dog window.
I assumed it was a bun bun or two, some quail or the family of javelinas that have been coming by the ponds.
I couldn't see anything but Watson was probley have a zen moment.

Watson was very alret here, maybe a few birds at the ponds
by the citrus trees.
I lurve this gud dug !

thehamish and I have been very under the weather. We have been taking naps and sleeping most of the day for over a week now.
He fell asleep and didn't finish the movie.

Here is thehamish sleeping in the crate.
I put a tiny piece of chicken right by his nose
but he ate it before I could take a photo.

and then went to sleep again without even moving.
He is always thehamish.
And as always here is your pretty to the start the weekend.
The monsoon have started.
YeeHaw !
Thursday we had a early evening rain storm moving across the Tucson valley.
Not quite the typical monsoon storm
but we will take all the rain Mother Nature gives us.
Photo taken last year.

Thursday hell

After reading this I threw up.

I saw on my yahoo news a ABC news twitter feed about china's
two newborn baby pandas. Everyone was saying how cute.
Oh happy ABC news so happy
So happy I don't watch you.
Because at the same time in northern china
this is happening.
I clicked on  someones comment about the
Yulin dog meat eating festival.
Which is now removed !

The photos showed a Golden Reviver back leg cut off
and cooked while the dog who was still alive laid there.
Then his other leg were cut off, he was tied to a pole and skinned ALIVE !
In front of a wall of dogs crushed into small cages who saw, smelled the blood and fear.

This is a festival ?
This is a country and people who we buy goods from ?
California accepted their low bid for sub-par steel and slave labor
to build the extension to the Golden Gate Bridge over an American bid !
The extension that has sub par steel, already has strength problems,
rivets popping out or breaking off.
A country who has no problem poisoning the milk their children
drink for money.

I did not sleep at all last night.
I cuddled my dogs.

No need to reply just had to get this off my sad mind.

Wednesday in Japan. . . Father's Day

A quick Wednesday post today.
thehamish and I are/have been very sick
and been resting most of the last 5 days.
But I have two very different photos of
life in Japan to post.
Granddaughter took her Father to her preschool 10 am on Father's Day.
No mothers just fathers.
They had some ice cream and spent some school time together.
awwwwwwwwwwww !
I was reading a post about the  most terrifying airports in the world.
Lukla Airport Nepal,  Paro Airport Bhutan,  Courchevel Altiport. France
Kia Tak Airport Hong Kong,
They were amazing terrifying  but one stood out to me
Kansai International Airport.
Hey, I have flown in there ! Terrific flight, great landing and I love those pilots.
Lot of ocean !
What a hoot.
quick update:
thehamish and I have been quite ill the last 5 days.
We have been sleeping a lot.
I will post more on Square Dog Friday.

Square Dog Friday. . . so hot hot hot !

What to do on the best day of the week !
Enjoy Square Dog Friday, stay inside, have an iced drink and be cool.
Sounds really good.
So lets woof it !

This is what our weather will feel like the next few days.
I was going to post this weather report yesterday but I was thehamish busy.
As you can see,  yesterday and today are the same at 110 so no need to take another
photo from the computer.

It is 9am and the tempture is 90 again today !
yikes !
hot hot hot hot hot !
awwww sweet Watson, you are such a gud dug.
I think I shall stay inside most of the day.
Thank You nice tall person who feeds us.
I may move to follow the sun
Just as long as it is inside the nice cool home
 awwwwwwwwwww feels so nice !

cabana boy extra gud
 yesh me i thehamish
ummmmmm hot hot hot for cabana boy
Just look at the sweet face.
Butter would not melt in his mouth, so  sweet so cute...... so bad !
I can never win with thehamish.

After the last round of running to the Specialty Veterinarian ER Room
With the Pancreatic and Diabetic shut down,
I worked on getting his numbers back to normal.
After the latest blood test,  we are good !
Then I had his regular vet look at his eyes.
Oh Dear God ! Not good.
I had thehamish in to see his  eye specialist right before his
Pancreatic/Diabetic shut down. His eye test results were good.
But now the eyes look bloody with lots of tears. So today we are back at
the eye specialist to see what is going on, again and again and again.
le sigh !

And just because I can here is your pretty for the start of the weekend.

parley view parsnip. . . the weekend

Some photos from the weekend.
More photos of the Century Plant.
It has finally stopped growing at about 30 feet.
Now all the energy is putting out the blooms.

I tried to lighten up this photo so you could see the Gila Woodpecker better.
This plant is a magnate for every bird and is now filled with bees.
I just sit outside and watch the fun.
As you can see as the plant puts all it's energy into the stem and blooms.
And now the plant it's self slowly dies. It is so sad.
Thankfully in back you can see one of the baby plants left behind.
Here is Watson chasing the sun.
Moving sun
Goodness heavens, chasing the sun is sometimes hard work.

And as always just because I can here is your pretty
to start the week.

So happy Watson and thehamish have found a good place
nap when the sun has moved much to high.
