It's been a very moving day here as well, with a fair number of veterans at the national service, though their numbers continue to decline.
ReplyDeleteWe do both Remembrance and Armistice Day today - all on the same day. The ceremony is in Whitehall where wreaths are laid by the Royal Family and the govenment and heads of state.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen and Prince Philip still stand there during the lengthy ceremony. I wish they would take it a little more easy on themselves.
I wish we were more thankful in this country of our servicemen. I think that people appreciate them but don't always remember them. I am shocked that the news rarely mentions that we are still at war unless something happens that is extra noteworthy.
