  1. thank you so much honey, that is so lovely... hugs! and yert!

    smiles, bee

  2. We call it Armistice Sunday and sell red poppies to remember the fallen.

    1. As I updated... our Memorial Day is in May and is a day of of remembrance. I use to buy poppies from the Veterans who would sell them every year.

  3. You might find this interesting:

  4. It's been a very moving day here as well, with a fair number of veterans at the national service, though their numbers continue to decline.

  5. We do both Remembrance and Armistice Day today - all on the same day. The ceremony is in Whitehall where wreaths are laid by the Royal Family and the govenment and heads of state.
The Queen and Prince Philip still stand there during the lengthy ceremony. I wish they would take it a little more easy on themselves.

  6. I wish we were more thankful in this country of our servicemen. I think that people appreciate them but don't always remember them. I am shocked that the news rarely mentions that we are still at war unless something happens that is extra noteworthy.
