The Hamish looks like he is enjoying his toy delivery very much. My Fuzzy Pom just gets beside himself with happiness whenever we receive any kind of delivery because sometimes those boxes contain his special delicious doggie food, or especially exciting doggie toys; best of all being perfect size purple squeaky balls, and sometimes a package of doggie wee wee pads. Even though those are a bit boring to Fuzzy, he still gets excited about them because they are for him. Last week in a shipment of things not for Fuzzy, the items were packed, padded by long, wadded in a long snakelike manner, brown packing paper. My husband opened the huge box and just kept pulling out yards of this snakey style packaging. Fuzzy was overwhelmed with excitement, grabbing the papery snake by its "head" and running all around the living room with it still coming out of the box and streaming all over the living room behind him as he ran. He thought it was the best thing that he ever did get from one of those special magic boxes of goodies. He no longer tries to scare away the delivery man and his truck by barking. He wags and squeaks with excitement anytime the truck is in the neighborhood.

DeleteCat can be walked on a leash. But you are right not quite like a dog.
DeleteThe only place for a cat outside a home is a farm cat like yours. Where they help with rodent control.
Better a leash than let them out to run around the neighborhood and get into fights, killed by cars, feral cats and be beaten by kids. Plus city and town cat kill too many birds.
My Daughter working at the shelter has seen such damage. That is why I am cat proofing my side yard so the cats can go outside safely. If I let them run free they would be killed and eaten.

Always fun to get mail. The Hamish is looking particularly handsome, has he had his herbal wrap? We walk our cat on a leash, she's not crazy about it, but she puts up with it.
