Extra post. . . Fire !

It has been a weird Winter and Spring.
Not enough rain and snow and very hot weather to soon. It was 98 yesterday.
Yikes !

We have had several wildfires already but they were contained in a few days.
Now we have one that is getting bigger by the hour, plus the winds are whipping
it into a frenzy and not letting the firefighters get a handle on it.
About an hour from Tucson.
...
Not very good photos from the TV.

.
This is the way the summer fire season feels  to me.

....

Of course here is your extra pretty for the week.

  1. I hope it doesn't get too near you Gayle - I know you have had bad fire experience in the past.

  2. It is about an hour away, So not really close but near. I drive there often though.

  3. How I hate fire and know you do too. It's so strange that after a winter of massive snowfall up here we were under a "wildfire" alert for a few weeks. All that recently exposed underbrush and dry leaf layer in the woods...all you need is one idiot tossing a lit cigarette out a car window and POOF. Thankfully, a bit of rain last week and again today has taken care of the problem. X

  4. So scary, can remember fire season when we lived in Southern California. Stay safe.

  5. And here it's the opposite problem- too much water around. Some of our rivers are at high levels.

    1. The wildfire that destroyed my home in Laguna Beach was set as the Sawmill fire is man made.

  8. Fires are a worrisome thing. Terrifying in that so uncontrollable. They must really scare you. I wouldn't have thought they were common where you live. Do you ever go to the Tuscon rock and gem show?

    1. They concern me but after your home burns down once you kinda say what the hell.
Yes I used to go to the Tucson Gem and Rock show for years. It is huge and is all over Tucson. It used to be fun but now it is tiring and I have so much stock that I haven't used.
Two of my favorite rings were bought there. Friend Debbie use to take me, she is a Jewelry designer with a resale number and we could find some great deals. Plus get in o the posh shows.
