Nice friend Debbie bought me many wonderful gifts. One of them was a small
Japanese tako (octopus) that lights up water or a night light.
The photos came out weird and strange but I rather like them.
I have fairy lights all around the small fountain.

These next three were taken with a fisheye lens.

As always here is your pretty to start the week.
I miss my old Kodak Instamatic.
Just bought a Fujifilm instax mini 8
It is super tiny but if I can figure out how to use it it might be fun.
Took this photo in the super hot and bright burning sunlight afternoon.
I really like the old washed out color and feeling of this photo.
Reminds me of good times with the Instamatic.
weird. . . parsnip
music. . . Don't Let It Bring You Down, Annie Lennox and Steven Lipson
Parsnip, there are many fine images in this post. It's fun to see what a camera can do. The glow light in the water gives a mysterious effect.
ReplyDeleteHamish surely knows how to greet a new lizzard!
I like that last photo's old fashioned bleached out quality very much.
Happy Labor Day! xo
That was a huge surprise with the fisheye lens.
DeleteYes thehamish loves his toys and loves to eat the squeaky out.
I love the last photos also.
Thehamish sure does know how to enjoy his toys with gusto!
ReplyDeleteThat little Japanese octopus light-up thingie is really cool-looking, and I especially like what you did to its images with the fish-eye lens. Very nifty photography, lady!
The little octopus was so much fun to try to take photos of.
Deletethehamish loves his toys.
Dear Gayle, thank you for the kind comment at Going Gently.
ReplyDeleteDid Thehamish kill the other gift too? :)
Greetings Maria x
xxo
DeleteHope your better soon.
thehamish is VERY rough with his toys!
ReplyDeleteThat is what scotties do !
DeleteWell done thehamish, you definitely killed that toy just like ted and pops do here! X
ReplyDeleteHey it is just what they all do.
DeleteObviously it needed killing. We leave next Monday for Japan, starting to get very excited.
ReplyDeleteDestroy !
DeleteI would be so excited if I was leaving for Japan on Monday.
All lovely pictures. Hope you and the Hamish enjoyed your holiday.
ReplyDeleteIt was quiet but nice.
DeleteYou are one tough dude, thehamish. You showed that toy who's in charge.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie, Franklin, and Penelope
yesh i thehamish is gud
DeleteGinger and George send love to Mr Hamish. :)
ReplyDeletewurfs back at you
DeleteStuffing, green body parts strewn all over... oh the carnage!
ReplyDeleteOh What Fun !
DeleteThe knotted part was destroyed fast. He has a great time.
Seems to me Hamish that toys never last long with you!
ReplyDeleteSome last longer now that Watson isn't here to help.
DeleteA dog really likes a toy when he does that!
ReplyDeleteThey sure do !
DeleteHave I missed you posts ? I hope not.
The Hamish is on the attack!
ReplyDeleteAll of the photos are beautiful, Gayle. I hear Newton is headed your way....
Yep ... Tucson is right in the middle of the path. Winds will die down somewhat but lots of rain.
DeleteFlash Flood warnings are everywhere but many people will not listen, 2 to 5 inches over a short time = flooding. I have noticed the county have been cleaning out all the trees and shrubs that grow in some of our biggest washes this last month.
The night shots are pretty! Hamish must have a ball killing stuffed toys.
ReplyDeleteUsing a phone camera I am glad they came out.
DeleteHe is a Scotty they love their toys.
And I noticed a watermark on your photo. How did you figure it out?
ReplyDeleteSon asked me if I wanted it when I bought the new computer.
DeleteI can ask him how he did it. It took him 2 nano seconds.
That tako is wild!
ReplyDeleteLove your bowl.
Just a simple green glazed bowl but over time as aged very nicely, unlike me.
DeleteWOW!!! great photos, sugar! xoxo
ReplyDeleteawwwwwww Thank you so much.
DeleteHi, Gayle! Hi thehamish!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh out loud when I saw the expressions on thehamish's face as he killed and ate his new toys. That was very thoughtful of Debbie, the nice tall person who brings thehamish toys. The three pictures taken with the fisheye lens make it look like you discovered three new moons circling Neptune. :) The last picture looks like it was taken in the Fabulous Fifties. :)
Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Gayle!
Wow, wonderful collection of photos. Great new toy too for the pup. I also like her flipflop shoes.
