Nice friend Debbie bought me many wonderful gifts. One of them was a small
Japanese tako (octopus) that lights up water or a night light.
The photos came out weird and strange but I rather like them.

I have fairy lights all around the small fountain.

These next three were taken with a fisheye lens.

As always here is your pretty to start the week.

I miss my old Kodak Instamatic.
Just bought a Fujifilm instax mini 8
It is super tiny but if I can figure out how to use it it might be fun.

Took this photo in the super hot and bright burning sunlight afternoon.
I really like the old washed out color and feeling of this photo.
Reminds me of good times with the Instamatic.

  1. Parsnip, there are many fine images in this post. It's fun to see what a camera can do. The glow light in the water gives a mysterious effect.
Hamish surely knows how to greet a new lizzard!
I like that last photo's old fashioned bleached out quality very much.
    Happy Labor Day! xo

That little Japanese octopus light-up thingie is really cool-looking, and I especially like what you did to its images with the fish-eye lens. Very nifty photography, lady!

    1. Yep ... Tucson is right in the middle of the path. Winds will die down somewhat but lots of rain.
Flash Flood warnings are everywhere but many people will not listen, 2 to 5 inches over a short time = flooding. I have noticed the county have been cleaning out all the trees and shrubs that grow in some of our biggest washes this last month.

I can ask him how he did it. It took him 2 nano seconds.

  16. Hi, Gayle! Hi thehamish!

I had to laugh out loud when I saw the expressions on thehamish's face as he killed and ate his new toys. That was very thoughtful of Debbie, the nice tall person who brings thehamish toys. The three pictures taken with the fisheye lens make it look like you discovered three new moons circling Neptune. :) The last picture looks like it was taken in the Fabulous Fifties. :)

Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Gayle!
