.

After the last round of running to the Specialty Veterinarian ER Room
With the Pancreatic and Diabetic shut down,
I worked on getting his numbers back to normal.
After the latest blood test,  we are good !
Then I had his regular vet look at his eyes.
Oh Dear God ! Not good.
I had thehamish in to see his  eye specialist right before his
Pancreatic/Diabetic shut down. His eye test results were good.
But now the eyes look bloody with lots of tears. So today we are back at
the eye specialist to see what is going on, again and again and again.
le sigh !

  3. Oh Gayle, what delightful photographs of water droplets and the Square One. And how lovely it must be for them to lie on cool stone floors with temperatures like that.
You ask in my post about the wild flowers and whether they make good silage. The answer is sadly no they don't. As far as possible farmers avoid any wildflowers being allowed to grow in silage fields, so that it is pure grass. The wild flowers grow on the field margins which are often left extra wide for that purpose. There are also many wild flower meadows throughout the Dales which are left to seed before they are cut. Farmers get a special payment for these.

    1. Then how do you keep them out of the grass field ?
As a non Farmer I get confused.

  5. You make me ashamed to complain about our heat, you're worse. I thought it cooled down a bit more at night there, it never does it here. And of course our air conditioner went out yesterday, repaired this morning, but it scared me.
Hope his eyes are ok, does diabetes in dogs affect the eyes like it does in humans?

    1. Hot is hot no matter where you are.
I could not live here if it wasn't for air conditioners and a pool.
Yes, thehamish was diagnosed with diabetes and right after that he almost lost all of his vision.
He went in for lens replacement surgery.
I am so careful with him but he has so many other problems that it is hard trying to control everything.

  7. Whoa 110F! I feel like getting sweaty by just seeing those numbers! It's hot here, too, but not as hot as your area.
I'm so sorry to hear thehamish's eyes are not good. I hope the specialist can figure out what is going on and give treatment. He's got such beautiful eyes...I hope all will be okay. The photos of him playing at the pool are adorable. Happy Square Dog Friday and have a great weekend!

  9. It's a dry heat right? I always think that is so funny but last time I was out west, I hiked in 100 degree heat and it seriously did not feel as hot as it does here when it is 95%.

    Please stay hydrated..The boys too!

  10. So cute!! Fiona sits under the chaise too. We are having the same weather here only some smoke from the Bear fire seems to have creeped into the air. La Quinta where we used to live is over 115 plus. We're going to be around 99 or so.

Bought this home because of the 2 huge century plants.
I knew they would bloom and die but they were like living sculpture.

  13. And I thought a hundred was bad here! We are like you, doing our errands in the morning and staying in out of the heat.

Poor Hamish! He has had a rough time, it seems. I hope they figure out what's wrong with his eyes.

  15. In fact, consistent with the yankee Kennel Club, Chihuahua is that the smallest dog breed within the world. Besides that, the AKC includes another nineteen dog breeds on the list of dogs that area unit typically referred to as toy dogs. See more http://dogsaholic.com/breeds/dogs-that-stay-small.html
