parley view parsnip. . . just another day

 Over the weekend,
I finished my Christmas Card.
Waited at Office Max for them to be quick printed.
Bought the wrong envelopes.
Found out I spelled everything right.
But forgot add the little drawing inside.
So I am adding that drawing to every card by hand.
Finishing the box for Japanese family
it must be mailed no later than the 11 December.
I have all my shopping done,
what little I did, a long time ago.
Finishing up the homemade gifts.
.
I like to enjoy December and Christmas.
The light, trees, smells and for Tucson the cooler weather !
Tree will be up this week, with the decorations and fairy lights all around.
I like to put decorations up as soon as I can so I can enjoy them all month.
I love Christmas.
Not the rush rush buy buy Christmas.
But the quiet lovely fun exciting family Christmas.
....
Tucson son shot the next two moonrise photos.

So much more spectacular in person but still quite wonderful.
.

The moon has been outstanding this week.
Storm clouds at sunset.
.
We had some very early much needed rain.
.
 And mentioning early,
Santa Scotty dropped off an early gift for me.
,
 Doesn't Watson look wonderful.
He seems to be better.
.
yesh, Watson lookin' gud but i thehamish is goin' to

And just because I can here is your pretty to start the week.

 connected to his University.

  2. I love Christmas. It's great fun and I loved reading a post where someone
wasn't bashing the holiday. I find there are just as many xmas haters out
there. And really, to each their own but boy, this was a refreshing post.

    Boogie boogie.

    1. I can't believe there are Christmas bashing.
What they should separate is the buy buy rush rush garbage !
We have always done lots of family things, minus the x.
Driving around looking at lights and decorations is a big deal for us.
I feel the same way about Christmas cards. blah blah blah...

    2. I do like buying gifts though. It's great fun to think of things
that someone I love would enjoy. But I don't go into debt.

      That's just not us.

Love going to look at the lights too. So fun.

    1. I have a small citrus grove in my side yard. 4 years ago we had a huge deep freeze that destroyed
      2 grapefruit, 1 kumquat, 1 lime and 2 lemons.
The tree your asking about is a 50 years old Tangelo. It is only 1/3 the size it was. and is struggling.
It doesn't look that great anymore but last years crop was fabulous. Sweet juicy fruit, beyond good.

  5. So glad to hear Watson is feeling better. And I agree that the rush-rush isn't a way to do Christmas.
Love the moon photos. I've never been in the Southwest at Christmas. I bet it's really fun with clear skies and sun. Here it's grey but we keep our spirits up by getting the Christmas tree early so we can enjoy it for the rest of the month. And yes, your son is an excellent Santa.

  10. It's great you are finishing Christmas stuff early. I like to relax and enjoy rather than being in hurry getting gifts and all.
The moonrise photos are beautiful! Love trees, too (orange tree?) And the moon over storm clouds is stunning!
Watson is looking adorable. Glad he is doing well. Your Japanese son is such a great Santa! I bet kindergarten kids were thrilled to meet him!
