Japanese family and I send a few gifts to each other for Christmas.
Not too much, just a few small gifts.
.
When they travel they make sure to buy some specialty of the region.
The fruit and granola is a favorite of mine that my DIL Mum sent to me.
I really like it better than any American one, even though it is made by Kellogg's ?

Wonderful sauces. and such great labels !
.
Kumamon sponges and the best Pizza ever, made by Granddaughter.

Some cookies and some funny Matcha (green tea) Oreos.
I put the Oreos in the photo especially for Kirk at the blog Shadow Of A Doubt.
If you have the time check out his blog. He is a excellent writer on a range of subjects.

A special charm from a Temple (can't remember the name)
There is a large temple then you walk up 700 or more? steps to the tiny temple,
on the top of the hill.
David and Mia climbed all the steps to visit the smaller temple at the top.
This charm can only be bought there.

ReplyDeleteGood enough to eat !
DeleteAnd such thoughtful fun gifts, too boot. Love that the most.
DeleteYou asked me about waffles. Most of my bakes are already vegan but turns out, I can eat eggs no problem now. The only thing I can't eat without sneezing, and blowing my nose, is dairy. But I tell ya, I don't miss it all at.
Thanks for asking.
I have always had a milk problem. When I was younger I only could eat a cooked milk but not a glass of milk. And very careful with cheeses.
DeleteMy Mum made use to freeze yogurt for me. I do eat ice cream but very carefully.
I've always hated the taste of cow's milk, even as a kid.
DeleteAre you able to eat the vegan dairy products? I can eat them but don't. Not a fan of plastic.
Thanks for the shout-out, parsnip. Those Oreos look tasty!
ReplyDeleteI knew you liked Oreos so I made sure the photo of them was on the post.
DeleteWhat great gifts from Japan! Kumamon sponges are very cute. And the pizza made by your granddaughter looks wonderful! I'd love to try Matcha Oreo. Something we don't see in regular grocery stores here :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful new week. It's gonna be new year, too...wow, time passes so fast!
I can buy items on Amazon but several special one I can't. So all of these are very appreciated.
