Square Dog Friday . . . Christmas

Yes, here it is the best day of the week.
Square Dog Friday !
Watson seems to be progressing like nothing ever happened.
That is why I think Watson had a stroke and not a disk problem.
He seems to be in no pain and enjoying his walk and play time.
thehamish is as nutty as ever.

  1. Is a stroke preferable to a disk problem? Just curious.

    2. It is more like an episode so I will take that over a surgery that I don't think he would survive at his age.

  2. Hello, I am so glad to hear Watson is getting on better. It seems very mysterious but we can be thankful he is perking up. They certainly had a good time destroying their new toy, and they look incredibly sweet in Christmas lights, Lovely square black dogs! all the best, L xx

    1. I will have to make sure we take some photos this year.
Destroying toys is in their job description.

  3. Happy Square Dog Friday! Looks like the toy failed the test....

Watson could recover from a mild stroke the same way a human would. The downside is that it can be a warning of bigger strokes to come.
And no, he probably wouldn't survive surgery at his age. But he looks pretty good for being no-longer-a-pup!

    1. Always so hard when they get older. Our last dog had to get something removed and she was older. It all went downhill from there. Sucked.

    1. I love lights. and have some up all year. I live out in the country with no street lights.
And my back yard is so dark.

    2. We recently got road signs here, so I understand. It can get pretty rootin' tootin' dark. Thanks for playing yesterday. I had a lot of fun reading the comments.

      Have a rockin' weekend.

    1. That was the year I had a mobile groomer and she never trimmed their ears.
I have finally found a great groomer that handles special needs dogs.

  12. I'm glad Watson is doing better! The photos with lights are very cute and the one made such a lovely stamp! The champagne toy looks so festive. Perfect for this time of year. But looks like your dugs already finished the champaign :-) And looks they really enjoyed it!
Love the last picture with origami crane in the tree. Did you make the crane?

  13. That first pic of both the boys wearing their lights would make a perfect Christmas card. (Hallmark might even pay you for it, if you come up with catchy wording to go with it... maybe something like, on the front, "Some people think the world is going to the dogs," and on the inside, "We happen to think that's a good thing.") Anyhow, I love that picture.

All the pictures, really. You sure know how to capture them having fun... and they sure know how to HAVE fun.

    Happy weekend!
