  2. Hi, Gayle!

That's an excellent meme at the end. It's called reframing. :)

I'm so sorry thehamish is filled with woe instead of chkikin'. I am also sorry to learn that the kitties are acting like scaredy-cats around him. I hope someday soon they will be the best of friends. Is thehamish going blind in one eye? He has the greatest smile I have ever seen on a dog.

Thanks for the latest round of pics from your household, dear friend Gayle, and have a nice weekend!

    1. thehamish has lost peripheral vision in both eyes. That is a crystal build up in his eye. He really doesn't see that well. Even after 2 lens replacements and 5 eyedrops a day. he is still losing his vision and I am not very happy about it

  3. I shall take on that mantra too!!!
And cheer up Hamish - they will love you eventually - who could possibly resist.

  7. On the bright side, Hamish doesn't have to share that cool alligator toy with the kitties.

  8. I recommend Hamish lie on his back and ask the kitties for a belly rub. It's a sign of trust.

  11. I agree with Jennifer. Every time I see a pic of the handsome Hamish with his adorable smile or pitiful expression, I want to hug that little sweetie to pieces. (Chicken pieces, of course...)

I agree with your rethinking stress into excitement. I set the bar rather low, and consider most things I do "adventures." :)

  13. Those kitties have got some learning to do. I just guess they have never before met any hamish, much less thehamish. He's got years of experience of incorporating change into his life. And knows that any change goes better with...well, you know. Chk.....

You've probably seen news now about the big internet interruption that began on the east coast this morning and spread across to your neck of the woods this afternoon. It's all giving me much to think about, or not.

    Happy weekend. xo

    1. Yes I agree they need to meet thehamish.
Oliver stays up high and watches him, Merida does that low yodel and then hiss she is not taking any chances. But she hisses at Oliver a lot too.
