His University has an exchange program/schools in New Zealand and Australia.
He is traveling quite a lot and for now enjoys it.

  2. Great pictures, no octopus thank you. My daughter, who loves to eat exotic food, just tried pickled squid, and says not again. I'm afraid eat nothing very exotic.

    1. ummmmm octopus. Tell her to try takoyaki. She will love it.
Plus squid salad. Super thin shavings of squid over cucumbers in a sweet vinegar.
      So good.

  6. You are such an adventurer with food. I envy you. Now, because I am hungry and no octopus is handy, I am going to fry a pork chop.

  8. Totoro wind chime is so cute! What a fun you made takoyaki at the table. When I was in college, I worked part-time at a store where I made takoyaki. I enjoyed it :-)
Love the photo of sensei David when he was a child. Such cute smile! What a great accomplishment to have become the first non-Japanese head of department!

Pad Thai looks yummy! Have a great day!

      You made takoyaki !
I love to watch them make it turning the ball over and coming out so tasty.
The best takoyaki I ever had was bought under the Osaka Tower

  9. What a adorable model your granddaughter is with such a pretty hat. First schoolday photo of your son so cute. And great that he is doing so well in his job. The food looks great.
I love fish but refuse to eat in particular Tuna. Not because I don't like it but because of overfishing and exploiting the seas but that is an different subject, sorry. The takoyaki looks very delicious.

    1. Oh I so agree with you on the tuna and I never eat shark fin soup either.
We all need to be better parents to our world.
Her parents are always getting offers to have her model, they always say no.
She has the "look" they like, half Japanese/American plus she is very animated.
They only did this campaign because it is a friends company.
