parley view parsnip...

My Monday post about what is going on around my home.

Beautiful farm fresh eggs.

Daughter belongs to a CSA group, Community Supported Agriculture.
Although she is a vegan she heard that the eggs from one of the farms were wonderful so she bought me some.
Love his farm name, Josh's Foraging Fowls, Wilcox Arizona

The yoke was a very beautiful orange.
Happy chickens make wonderful eggs.

Removing labels from wine and beer bottles.
You heat them in a 200 degree oven for 15 minutes. The glue melts and you can usually pull the labels off.

Sunday dinner.
Vegetable stirred fried rice, egg, fresh tomatoes, and quick Japanese pickles made that day from small cucumbers.

The Palo Verde trees are in bloom every were in Tucson.
I tried to show the yellow blossoms like a carpet on my drive way.

Looking up at the blooms through the tree.

I just like this photo, wall, clouds and blooming Palo Verde tree,

  1. Hello Gayle:
How wonderful the eggs look. We really have not had similar ourselves since the days when we kept our own chicken so we are sure that these must be really good. Enjoy them.

Oh, the blossom on your trees captured, we feel, at exactly the right moment. Perfectly lovely.

  2. Yum, we eat eggs almost every day around here!
I photographed my palo verde trees this weekend for a post later this week. I think your driveway carpet is quite a bit bigger than the ones around my yard, still they are all so beautiful. Driving my allergies nuts, but beautiful.

    1. Yes ! I am sneezing.
What I don't understand is we had very little winter rains but a little more than last year. Very little wildflowers but the Prickly Pear and Palo Verde are going crazy in Tucson.

    1. I e-mail you about the temp... It is 200 not 250. It worked really nice, we removed almost all the labels. Boiling water in the bottle worked really great too.

    1. It was very good. I like the cold fresh tomatoes on the hot rice.

  5. I feel strangely compelled to have scrambled eggs now.

I like the pattern of the branches of those trees.

And Hamish, of course, must have his day.

  6. It's the foraging that make the eggs so good.

  8. I love eggs! And Hamish.

And thanks for the bottle tip! I've got the brilliantly titled 'Sticky Stuff Remover', which appears to be based on orange oil. Lovely smell, but needs washing off once the sticky stuff has been removed.

  9. Hamish and the eggs are lovely and I enjoyed your wonderful palo verde images. I wonder what you're going to make with the label-less bottles.

  10. Beautiful images of your day. We also enjoy farm fresh eggs from a guy who has a farm not to far away. They're the best! I love the palo verde tree and would like some day to see it bloom. And I'll try that hint with the bottles.
