Here is your pretty to start the weekend
A photo of Watson and the baby thehamish

Short story, after Watson died we started looking for a friend for thehamish.
He was missing Watson so much.
I was so sure I could find a shelter friend for him.
I wanted a older unadoptable big dog that needed a home or a small terrier.
Spread the love around.
We went on so many meet and greets with dogs.
Boy do I have stories..... but they had to get along with thehamish.
I even had a dog here for over 2 weeks, that I had his teeth fixed, pumped him full of meds
but he wanted to be the only dog. For us not a good mix.
If I didn't have thehamish I could have adopted several great dogs.
A year and a half later we found a Scottish puppy "to be" up in Phoenix.
Several month later he has arrived.

He does not answer to George or Hoover, my choices. Fergus or Finley, Adam's choices.

i thehamish is pickin' thething, it', mandables'  or mandables' ofdoom

The saga begins
cheers,  a very nawed on parsnip

  1. Mr. Winkie would not look Emmy in the eyes when I brought her home to him. He really didn't want much to do with her. Enter Sister and she and Emmy are inseparable. I was thinking Mr. Winkie thought he was being replaced. But, the girls are my joy in life. You are braver than I am Gayle. He is a cutie, but then I think all dogs are.

    1. What is life if it doesn't have stress.
I will now have to live at least 10 more years no matter what the doctors say !
I really wish I could have found the right friend.
As for being brave... dementia helps.

  2. MacTavish? Sean? Callum? Malcolm? Dougal? Ewan? Rory? Possible alternatives, but it must be Scottish.

Hamish seems perplexed by the pup!

    1. We have been looking up Scottish names. I love your choices.
My first Scotty was a Kirby. Because everything on the floor was here !
I always said I wanted all my furry friends named after veggie, I have had a Turnip or vacuums. Great names, Hoover, Dyson, Electrolux, Panasonic, Miele, Bissell, Oreck.
Can you just see me calling Panasonic Panasonic come here !

  3. Hi, Gayle!

I am very excited to see that thehamish has this super cute new Scottish pup for a brouther. I hope they get along. I hope he thehamish doesn't eat the puppy just to find out if he tastes like chkikin'. They certainly look adorable together, sniffin' up a storm. I hope this gives thehamish a psychological boost and the will to continue having fun for a long long time to come.

I am also happy to know that you monsoons are cooling the temps down to the low triple digits. The javelina must be overjoyed.

Please take care of yourself and your lovable doggies and have a wonderful weekend, dear friend Gayle!

  5. Squeeeee! Puppy breath, and leeetle gnawing teeth, and puddles on the floor! So excited for you and thehamish.

And do you remember what the very lonely Abominable Snowman said to a very perplexed Daffy Duck in the Looney Tune Cartoon??? "I will name him George; And I shall hug him, and pet him and squeeze him and pat him, and pet him, and rub him and caress him..." George is a very gud name. X

  6. I do remember that .... one of the reasons why I picked George. But we shall see.
So funny he is a talker, he talks to the chew toys when trying to chew on them. He barks first then starts talking. We have a super quiet home. I taught the Square Ones not to over bark so this is new for us all.

  20. Fergus is the best name for another guddug ! Not as good as thehamish, but then nothing is.
My original owners called me Berta, but my new Mum called me Inca, and everyone says it's such a pretty name. I soon got used to my new name, especially when it came with treats !

    1. Not as good as Watson did with him but considering he is really not feeling all that great (his doctors have only given him a few months to live) he is handling this all fairly OK.
