A Scotty puddle's a new one, but an apt description!
ReplyDeleteor a puddle of Scotty
DeleteI love your house!
ReplyDeleteThank You I have been working on it for over 10 years.
DeleteI am so ready to stop.
You've got the cutest little Scottie puddle ever!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl, my grandmother gave me a set of four to six (can't remember now... it's been a year or two) little metal Scotties with magnets on their bottoms. I could make them "move" by putting them on a metal table and moving another magnet around from underneath. Not sure why I suddenly remembered them...
I'm glad to hear that's a controlled burn in your mountains. A wildfire has been ranging in the north Georgia mountains for over a month, and there's no end in sight to the drought. The air is dry, warm, and smoky.
Take care. Have a super weekend, and a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Susan I had the Scotties also, so much fun.
DeleteI lost my home in a raging wildfire, so any time I see a fire I can no what could happen.
Wildfires are horrible.
Love it! No better way to start the weekend than with my Friday dose of Hamish and Godzilla.
ReplyDeleteI must remember that thehamish and Godzilla !
DeleteGood pair to remember.
Love the adorable black puddle - with perky ears! Merida reminds me of a much loved and long gone cat named Bill Underfoot. He would not tolerate dried floral arrangements either. Always rearranged them to his taste...usually onto the floor. X
ReplyDeleteHe does smooush out with his pantaloons but he has always been a puddle of Scotty to me.
DeleteHappy weekend to you and yours, and thanks for the smiles this post has brought me. xo
ReplyDeleteHappy we could bring you some smiles.
DeleteOur pleasure !
Love the Godzilla cartoon - oh and that puddlesome Hamish.
ReplyDeleteAny day you have thehamish and Godzilla is a good day
DeleteSweet pix of Hamish! Hope he and the kitties are getting along better!
ReplyDeleteI quite admire your house! It looks so spacious and clean!
Thank you , I like simple spaces and this home was designed with different ceiling heights to defined spaces.
DeleteLiving in Tucson is one reason it looks so clean. We are a dusty town. The nature of our landscape, the wind and the heat we are dusty. I despise having to dust so no extra stuff laying around and no carpet floors that hold dust and little critters that like to hide in there.
whahahahahahahaha
Scottie puddles are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThey are a wonder of the world !
DeleteWe had our first freeze last night and I didn't turn on the heater. The weenie girls and I were snuggled together under the covers. It was bliss. Me and my dogs. Nothing better.
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you. thehamish doesn't snuggle with me like he did with Watson but he is on the bed with me. I lurve him.
DeleteYou have such a beautiful home, Gayle! And your extended family is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank You. it is just my home and I love living here.
DeleteThat's such a cute Scotty puddle thehamish created :-) I enjoyed seeing more of your home. It's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWalkers' Scotty tins are very pretty :-) And their cookies are so yummy...now I'm craving for them!
I know, the cookies are so tasty !
DeleteLovely to see photos of your beautiful home, but even better to see those pics of the Scotty puddle, and the close-ups of gud dug thehamish
ReplyDeletePuddle puddle puddle, yes please.
DeleteHe does look like a puddle! X
ReplyDeleteI know he does make a cute puddle.
DeleteHello Parsnip, great blog with some great captures of Hamish.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your reaction on my latest blog.

DeleteI never knew those scottie shortbread tins were available in the US .... not that I sent one to anyone there but I won't in future now ! :)
ReplyDelete"Puddle" is funny!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I have two of them and I could feel my hand reaching out to buy one. But I said NO and will just buy the package cookies later.
DeleteAfter a crazy busy month, I have some time today to sit around with my fuzzy ones. Life is good.
