As always here is your pretty to start the weekend.
.
One of the things I miss this summer is seeing my sweet baboo Watson napping in the sunlight
from the skylight in the entryway.
On a hot summer day to lay in the sunlight on the cool tile floor
in an air conditioned home must have been heaven.
.
I miss my sweet Watson.
summer. . . parsnip
music. . . Summer In The City, Lovin' Spoonful
Oh, sweet Watson. I know you miss him terribly.
ReplyDeleteHamish is so cute, as always!
I do, I miss him so much.
DeleteHe got me through some very bad times. Such a sweetheart, everyone was a friend
and everyone wanted to meet him. He was so handsome.
We all miss Watson too.
ReplyDeleteawwwww that is very nice to say.
DeleteI miss him everyday.
I remember those pictures of Watson. Am sure he's smiling down on you and thehamish (who incidentally is right I am sure about the savings being passed on.... :-) ). Xx
ReplyDeleteIt is so strange to walk there and not see him.
DeleteHard to lose someone we love. All we can do is pull out the memories, hold them close and smile. He was a very specific little man wasn't he!
ReplyDeleteI miss him so much
DeleteI hope you get to see him again one day.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. He was a better gud dug that I am a person.
DeleteI try
Rough day at the vet for our family. One of our cats has been diagnosed with diabetes. 🙁 Twice daily insulin shots.
ReplyDeleteTell your family that is not that bad ! So don't worry.
Deletethehamish has been on insulin, 2 shots a day after eating for almost 6 years now.
Life is good here and will be for you !
Hi, Gayle!
ReplyDeleteMy heart aches whenever you flash back to Watson. I wish he was still around to keep you and thehamish company. My Cocker Spaniel Toto had a black coat, too, and loved to fall asleep on the floor in a patch of sunlight.
I wish you and thehamish a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Gayle!
I hope you have a great weekend also.
DeleteOh yes Gayle, just because our dogs are gone doesn't mean they are forgotten does it? My past dogs lie in a line under the hedge where I see their graves when I walk up the drive - I think of them often - and with love.
ReplyDeleteI have Kirby and Watson ashes in silk boxes. No one knows but me.
DeleteHamish has the right idea! Use all that money to buy chicken!
ReplyDeleteI know you and he both miss Watson. That empty hole in the heart can never be completely mended.
Parsnip, this post is full of love. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteNow you've got me remembering other favorite Lovin' Spoonful tunes...What a Day for a Daydream....
xo
Awwwww, Thank You
DeleteWatson was so sweet.
Thanks for the Watson flashback.
ReplyDeleteYour Welcome !
DeleteI can imagine how much you miss Watson. I still miss some of our dogs who've been gone for decades. They have a way of setting up residence in our hearts and never quite moving out... they just move over to make room for other pets.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and thehamish are doing better.
Taking up residence is so right.
DeleteI can think how much you must miss Watson. So much part of your life for so long, and such a character. Love is never wasted, though.
ReplyDeleteHe was a lovely gud dug
DeleteI miss seeing Watson too :-(
ReplyDeleteawwww thank you.
DeleteI know how it feels to miss a dog. So many little things and big things bring him to mind. Watson was such a good boy.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, it is all the small little things that they do.
DeleteGreat post Parsnip. Hamish knows where the good things are. Love it.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Roos
thehamish is just very funny all the time.
DeleteYou're never going to stop missing Watson, Gayle. We learn to live with loss, but we never really get over it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Hamish has his own section in the kitchen!
As you with all your sweet baboo !
DeleteI know what you mean about missing our pets. But Beanie-Bean has some of his same habits like snuggling bed pillows.
ReplyDeleteIt is the personally that comes out with all the funny stuff they do.
DeleteI know what you mean about missing our pets. But Beanie-Bean has some of his same habits like snuggling bed pillows.
ReplyDeleteI think his spirit will still be there - where he was so happy. I know Alastair is often in the garden.
