..........

It is that time of the year when the winter grass is dying off and we
need to let it dry off, cut the grass right down to the roots
and then reseed it with summer grass.
I use a mixture of Scots and the local golf course seed.

 It is just going bonkers.

 Much like Gene's experiment
from Ballard Street.

................................

And as always here is your pretty to start the weekend

 Morning in the backyard.

Shooting into the sun you get the nice dark blue sky.
fud. . . parsnip
music. . . Rocket Man,  Elton John

  2. Hi, Gayle!

I love to read thehamish's words in print. That stash of gud fud is quite a find and his sniffer is working overtime. Thehamish's poses are all classics - such a handsome dog and a gud dog. I admire your lush grass. It's beautiful as is the view of your backyard and beyond. Spectacular!

I wish you and thehamish a fine weekend, dear friend Gayle!

  4. What delightful photographs of the Hamish investigating the food cupboard.
How interesting too about how you manage your grass - I had no idea you had to go to all that trouble.

    1. It is that that hard. Mow the grass, toss the seeds and water.
If you do not chage the grass from winter to summer, you end up with a brown yard.

  8. Wow...what a stash of gud dug fud! Buzzy and Pip are very impressed and I think I caught one of them trying to book a flight to Arizona. Buzzy would especially enjoy stopping by to pee on that beautiful green lawn! Yert! X

  10. Oi! thehamish made quite a find, one that would make Franklin and Penelope happy. Where do you sleep at night, thehamish? Do you join nice tall person in bed? Penelope sleeps with me every night now and is a sweet little heating pad against my lower back. Franklin prefers the rug next to the bed, but if I awake and put out my hand, he comes to me immediately. Nothing is as gud as a gud dog.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. thehamish sleeps on my bed, but not next to me. He will cuddle if petted but always moves away. I sleep on my right side attached to all my medical stuff.
In the morning I turn on my left side, he will come and lay on my pillow.
Watson used to lay next to my back and it felt so wonderful. Mostly in the morning.
      I miss him so much.

  11. Ohhhhhh that's a lot of yummy fuds! It's a magical place indeed :-) Though, it's too bad chkikin wasn't there! Maybe it's still in the pot growing. I'm sure you'll get lots of chkikin soon, thehamish!
Your grass looks very lush and healthy! Our teeny tiny yard can never grow a good looking grass. Maybe problem with soil or sun light or....maybe we just have brown thumb!

    2. Ours isn't fatty. It's major protein and no fillers. Great stuff. What a difference when we got them off the old stuff and onto this.

      Thank you, Canada!
