Square Dog Friday. . . thehamish is back !

Here we are again the best day of the week is here.
Square Dog Friday.
woof !
.
I must admit it always sounds like poor thehamish is always
sick or sad but he is not !  thehamish is just a tough little terrier,
that was dealt a really bad hand in life.
I rescued him from a backyard breeder.
He is a smart, funny and super sweet gud dud.
Right now it has been over a week since his ACL blow out in both back knees.
He is walking and using both legs.

That is what I love about terriers they plow through life and take you with them.
.

gud morning nice tall person who feeds us

yesh i thehamish just gots' up and my beard is not lookin' gud

 i thehamish is lookin' funny

oh my gudness big yawn comin'

 yawwwwwwwn

but after a face wash i thehamish is looking gud.
gud gud gud thehamish

.........

And of course just because I can here is your pretty for the weekend.
I like rocks. Growing up in Tucson 70 years ago everyone collected rocks
and minerals.
We were outside walking and hiking around looking at critters, plants,
rocks and whatever we could find.
I still look at rocks no matter where I am in the world.

Some rock and shadow photos from last summer.

.
Mr. Coyote was moseying through the yard. He looks very young to me but his hair is not full
and shiney I wonder if he has mange ?  That tail should be fluffy.
.
Then this little bundle of fur makes me giggle.
My Japanese Son wrote back "And the 8th day God made it so cats can hover".
William, I hope you like this one !

Update:
thehamish is walking better but I have to keep him contained
and he does not want to be contained !

yesh
i thehamish is strong and tuffer'
i thehamish can not be contained
i thehamish is scotty
scotty is gud
gud

This week I have been setting up appointments at VSOT for
a talk to his new surgeon. A visit to his eye doctor and a trip
to the groomers for an herbal body wrap before going under the knife.
As you can see I will be busy with thehamish and his doctors.
I will be stopping by all your posts when I can.
It will be a busy few weeks till surgery and then after.

  1. Hi, dear Gayle!

I am very happy to learn that thehamish shows some improvement in the use of his legs. He is a brave dog and a gud dog. My Toto never liked being contained either, but at least thehamish is contained in a lovely, comfy spot in your marvelous home.

My dad was a nature photographer and loved to take pictures of water polished rocks and stones. As I boy I loved to collect smooth stones, rocks and minerals. Your rock pictures are beautiful! They are nature's throw pillows, don't you think?

Bless you and thehamish. I hope you both have a nice weekend!

    1. Mr. Coyote looks so thin. If I see him again I might call the Wildlife Group about him.

  3. Thank You, The rock in Arizona are so interesting.I love when you find ones with turquoise or copper in them.
When I was growing up in Tucson almost everyone I knew had a rock/mineral polisher in their garage you could hear the hummmmm. Some sand and water and a few days later magic.

  5. The Hamish looks so sweet! I'm happy to hear he's doing better.

You find rocks with copper and turquoise? That's something I'd love to find, but I don't think we have them here.

  6. Hovercat rules!

Hamish really gets to yawn big.

While you don't have the same kind of winters we have, I wonder if coyotes and other critters have winter coats there that they shed this time of year.

  9. Please send my best wishes over to The Hamish. What a fine dog he is, and how fortunate to have such a gud home.

That Hovercat picture freaks me out a bit. I am much more of a dog person than a cat appreciator. I'm not sure that anything could change this, though some cat-loving friends are trying their best.

    Happy weekend. xo

  13. Hamish certainly is a tough little boy! And cute even with his mussed beard! I hope everything goes well with his surgery!

It's strange how rocks fascinate so many people. I stopped collecting them when I was little, but despite my age, I still feel the urge to pick up a pretty one!

  14. It seems never-ending visits to the doctor as we all age. That, and you have to drag e kicking and screaming. The weenies even hate going. Coyote in the backyard. Aye yay yay. I've had them in mine to but rarely. I can sure here them all in the evening. Have a good one. It isn't easy to keep them caged. Last time Sister had to be caged, I had to hold her 24/7.

    1. He is better but he has to have at least one leg fixed.
When he walk now instead of two legs looking like a bowl/pigon toe , he left leg really crosses over under his tummy. Sometime they will meet and he falls.
