Cabana Boys
Summer has arrived. Hot Hot Hot way over 100 already.
I think we feel so tired of the heat already (it is only May) because we had no winter.
Thursday we had some clouds and a sprinkle of rain.
The high was only 95 ten degrees cooler than the day before.
But today the weather will be back over 100.
So that means Cabana Boy time !

    1. Well we use to have a two month winter with our much needed rain. But we didn't have any rain this year so I am so tired of hot already.

    2. Two month winter? What's that like?

I live in a snowbelt. It's not even close to being too hot here, yet.

    3. About middle January the storms would blow in for a day or too rain in the valley (Tucson) snow on the mountains.
then as the weather warms up (we do get a few below freezing nights in Feb,) middle of March. Summer hits around end of May beginning of June. By May my pool is open. Really beautiful weather. But the last 4 years have been strange.

The curry looks so yummy! I've never had curry with watermelon before, but it looks great combination :-)

    1. Well I didn't have any chutney, the mango was not ripe yet so I thought watermelon would make a cooling sweet side dish.
I have these nice shallow big restaurant type dishes that are perfect for one dish type meals.

  5. Yum! Some day I will attempt to make such a delicious looking curry. Kind of a foreign concept way up here so I must start from scratch and learn as I go.

The two boys are so very handsome (as always) sunning themselves by the pool. I do love Square Dog Fridays!

  6. Tucson son love to cook and loves Indian food. We have Madhur Jaffrey's Flavor Of India cookbook that we look through and pick out what we want to eat.
He grinds all his spices gets everything ready and uses my big wok pan and starts cooking. All you need is some good rice, and spices.

  7. Do the dogs ever go into the pool Gayle? They look so hot.
Like the look of that water melon to cool the curry.

  9. Poor boys. Our temps are in the high 80s, can't imagine it already being 100 degrees and it's not even June. Our Archie and Boswell would pant their little hearts out and never jump in the pool - hope your boys enjoy cooling off.

  10. What's that psychedelic-looking stuff in that final picture of Watson and Hamish? I'm talking the flowers, circles, and smiley faces.

  11. I wish Alastair and I had extended our time in India with a week in Kerala, but it was not to be.
