The week is zooming by with so much still to do.
Just a quick mid week post.
If you have read this blog for any time you know my love of Totoro.
So just a few quick photos.

While waiting at the airport for my plane
I saw a Totoro looking at me from the Merry Shop.
.
Yes, he came home with me.
.

They came home with us...

and were eaten !
They didn't make it on the plane home !
I love the expression on his little face.

ReplyDeleteI can never get my fill of the red phone booths !
DeleteI took a bunch of photos too as any good tourist should.

DeleteThe Japan centre in London has those Totoro buns!
ReplyDeleteSo envious that you live somewhat near the Japanese Center.
DeleteI now live in a wasteland of Japanese Markets. The tiny ones I do shop at only have the very basics.
Now craving a Totoro Bun.
Totoro is very cute! And the bread looks so cute and yummy. Love that "oh no!" face :-)
ReplyDeleteThere used to be many many many pay phones in Japan, but since cell phone became a common thing, I have hard time finding those green pay phones when I visit Japan. Now I've got cell phone that I can use there :-)
Goodness you are so right.
DeleteWhen I first starting to visit Japan (before everyone having cell phones) I fell in love with the green phones.
They were everywhere but as you said not so much anymore.
Totoro looks a bit like the Hamish. Not the delicious looking pastries--they looked yummy--past tense--huh? Green phones are the coolest. I like the green Beetle taxi they used to have in Mexico City and actually bought a green Beetle once.
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahaha one is very cute but one is cute and yummy.
DeleteLove those green phones!
ReplyDelete«Louis» would like those buns - you had him at "custard"... YERT!
