This lovely and wonderful Lady is My Mother.
Today is her Birthday.
.
No matter how old I get, I still miss my Mother.
.
.
.
I wrote a small tribute about my Mum several years ago.
One sweet note is her Great granddaughter Mia was born one day before her birthday.
I wish Mia would have been born on the same day. That would have been the best gift.
I know Mum would have loved that.
.
cake. . . parsnip
music. . . Hello Dolly, Carol Channing.
Mum's name was Dolly so this song is very close to my heart and hers.
Plus we loved Carol Channing.
Gayle, your mother was a true beauty.
ReplyDeleteShe was lovely
DeleteThat's a great picture. Sorry she's gone from you.
ReplyDeleteBy the time I was able to move back to Tucson she had died
DeleteMom's are always missed.
ReplyDeleteYes they are.
DeleteHappy birthday to your late mother.
ReplyDeleteThank You
Delete*hugs* You have my heart, sweet pea. We were hoping that Baby Girl Matrix would have been born on Aug, 13th, my Mom's birthday, but she was a bit early (Aug. 8th), so she carries my Mother's name, so we're all smiles. xoxooxox

Like your Sarge, I miss her everyday.
DeleteYour mother was such a beautiful lady. The picture is like from a movie.
ReplyDeleteLoved your tribute for her. It's sad her recipe was destroyed in fire. Things may be gone but memories for loved ones are forever.
She was a bridesmaid in that photo.
DeleteYour mother was gorgeous! I hope that memories of her are of comfort to you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteShe was a lovely person and I think that came out.
DeleteHi Parsnip, my mom was also born in 1921, just a few weeks after your mother. She's been gone now for 25 years and like you I still miss her. You asked on my blog about where I got the oil cloth and I really can't remember. It's a little store in a kind of urban renewal area. I'll have to ask Kath and let you know. It's a darling store. I know you'd love it.
ReplyDeleteAww Happy Birthdat to you and your Mum.
DeleteOh I am sure I can find the oil cloth... But your design is just so pretty.
I bet that was down in the barrio re developed area ?
Love the tribute to your mum.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteI still miss your blog hope you and your family are terrific.
My daughter shares a birthday with my maternal grandmother who was very dear to me. Sometimes I catch a little glimpse of grandma in her, too.
ReplyDeleteOh I know it is that small little quirk or glance.
DeleteI so wish see could have seen her.
That is a lovely photo to have of your mother. She looks so elegant.
