Here is my Monday post about what is going on around my home today...

It is Spring and yes . . . there Is New Growth !

The Tangelo, Sweet Orange and one Grapefruit have new growth.
Unfortunately the Lemon, second Grapefruit and Kumquat are not looking
great.

In April the Harlows Nursery tree people will come out again to check
on how the trees are doing. Gosh I don't want to lose all those
trees. I will just have to wait and see.

  1. Yes, things are finally started to green up around here! I was afraid our lemon tree wouldn't make it, but there is new growth. Our neighbor's lemon tree doesn't look so good though.

  3. I heard on the radio the other day that you should never give up on a tree for at least a year.

  4. Indeed, you should just wait and see.

More then a decade ago there was an ice storm in eastern Ontario and Quebec that did a lot of damage to trees, and it was said at the time that it would take five years in some instances to see if there was lasting damage to specific maple sap producing trees or not.

I am giving them lots of love, I don't want to loose them but I can see lots of dead branches.

    William...
One big problem is the trunk of citrus trees can get sunburn so another thing I have to deal with.
