My Birthday

Daughter and her flatmates came for New Year and my birthday instead of Christmas.
I am so happy they did plus the weather flying was so much better.
They live in the land of snow and with high temps of 1 somedays.
Goodness that is so cold I can't even think of that.

On my Birthday
daughter made espresso my favorite, and a brunch breakfast.
Then we went to Saguaro National Park East. Daughter bought me my forever Senior Pass
we took the tram ticket up the mountain.
They took a few trails down to the river and one loop.
Her flatmates have never been to the Sonoran Desert and enjoyed every day here.
Next post will have photos of the Saguaro National Park East.

Daughter also cooked a Japanese New Year Day Dinner for us.

Ozon with Tangelo peel, I love mochi in this soup !

 Wonderful gifts.
Stephanie drew thehamish for me, Jory found the little rabbit.
They all found the plant and pot at B and B Cactus.
 Birthday card from Japanese Family.
Granddaughter was worried I would not know what it said.
Mumjallia does not read Japanese she said.
Heart thump !
.
So she drew on the back of the card for me.
Mia and me, a drawing of a bear, greeting and explanations, a side view of the bear

Mia is giving Mamajilla a present, Mia and I  looking at the stars and lots of hearts .
No better present.

 Daughter made pretty espresso.

I think I know how to use the new espresso machine, maybe ?

.........

Here is your pretty to start the week.

  2. Hi, Gayle!

Happy birthday to you, dear friend! What a marvelous celebration you had with family visiting, imaginative gifts, creative cards and that wonderful meal. Mrs. Shady is always on the lookout for exotic recipes and I will show her this post with your Japanese dinner. In 2014 we visited the main part of Saguaro National Park. I am eager to see your post on the East portion.

    Once again, happy birthday, Gayle!

    1. We meant to have cake but didn't, All three are vegans (one because she is more allergic than I am) and Daughter is a fabulous vegan chef and baker but time slipped away.
