  3. Such lovely and fun photos! Tako ferry is so cute. Too bad it's closed. When I go back to Japan, one of the favorite things to do is to shop at convenience stores and get drinks at vending machine! Good stuff :-) And when I take bullet train, I always get bento box!
I've been to that curry shop in my hometown. I don't remember which level of hot I had, but there was no way I could try the hottest one! Never had bamboo charcoal cake. Looks yummy :-)

  5. I still don't get why you don't move there because you love it so much. And your family is there.

    1. Weeellllllll short version
You walk and run for trains everyday. And then you walk some more up and down streets.
I am pretty much house bound and have to use a walker now.
Summer is Japan is HELL.You have to cut through the hot humidity to even walk.
So I would love to live there 4 to 5 months a year then back to Tucson.
I have still one daughter (who just moved to Tucson to be around me plus she adores Tucson) and one son who moved in with me to help out.
      Sooooooooooooooooo

    2. Four or five months sounds good but sure, I can see why you stay. Great that your kids help you.

  8. I fear that our daughter loves everything in Japan and will never come home. Right now she's enjoying all the Halloween/pumpkin stuff.

    1. I think she will stay as long as she can. Now all is not chocolates and roses in Japan but I like so much about living there.
Next Wednesday's post I will write about this.
