Square Dog Friday. . . Oh My Goodness !

Friday is always The Square Dog day on my blog.
It is in their contract and because of last Friday shared blog
I had to go into arbitration. Again and I lost as usual !
So I have fulfilled the one of the terms stated in said arbitration.
Extra post days this week.
.
Extra homemade chkikin' strips all around !
Thank Goodness !
.

My very first Scotty was Kirby, named after the vacuum.
Because everything on the floor was hers.
She was a perfect square  Little Square Black Dog.
With the best smile ever.
I miss her every day.
.
When she was older we brought home a friend for her.
We named him Dr. Watson because he was the companion to Kirby.
We were watching at the time the Japanese animated show
Sherlock Hound, and Dr. Watson was a Scotty !
Best show ever !
.

 Awwwwwwww sweet baboo Watson.
He is a brindled Scotty and is 16 years old.
.

 A very Dr. Watson photo.
And yes when he speaks he uses his burrrrrs
.
He is my sweet sweet baby boy.
.

And  then several years after Kirby died I found thehamsih.
Oh Lord have mercy on me.
What have I done !
He is a Scotty/Westie mix.
He is 11 years old.
The dark and light side are always in conflict.
.
Look at this puppy face. so sweet, so innocent so daft.
Because of the Westie he has a short snout and body shape
so he always look younger than he is.

He is will always be a puppy.
.
.. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Daft dug !

 Oh so innocent
Just look at that face.
phiff...

I always wonder what is going on in his little brain.
Oh wait... I know
chkikin'chkikin'chkikin'chkikin' walk chkikin'

    1. Kirby was the so great. She lived in her own little world. And when ours was falling apart (after the fire) she was the glue for the children.
Our front door was glass with a frame of redwood, when we left we could see her sitting at the door with her ears up and a big smile on her face.

  5. Dr. Watson looks mighty fine in that cap, and he doesn't even look like he minds wearing it. Great pictures, as always.

    Happy weekend!

  8. And tortoises too by the looks of things! Kirby was such a pretty square dug. Funny how we always hold them in our hearts forever and ever.

We don't have quail up here but your photos showing their funny little feather top knots absolutely slays me. So cute. And those Javelina's look so huggable....but I strongly suspect they are absolutely not so. Hugs to the two square ones.

    1. I have always loved Javelinas and the babies are so cute. hairy loafs of bread with tiny feet.
But they will defend the babies and have the sharpest teeth.

  10. Scottie seems to be your favorite type of dog. Ever consider owning a different breed?

    1. I have owned over my lifetime mostly mixed rescue dogs and a few dachshunds.
After the fire that destroyed my home... we had nothing it was right before Christmas so I bought a fabulous Scotty named Kirby.
Seemed the right thing to do. At my age what not treat myself.

  11. Your puppy pictures are adorable! I rarely see javelinas in the daylight, quail babies move so fast, great images, all of them. :)
