parley view parsnip... random

My computer is acting up again.
I have an older Apple laptop and  it worked fine until  I had to update it with the apple program "snowlion" "mountain pass" "flowing leopard"  whatever.
"Nothing will work on your computer till you do this" apple's e-mail  said.
(Though after you do this it will look horrible with huge black stripes and work even slower but we really don't care because we want you to come in and buy a new computer
is what they really meant.)
I dislike Apple but it is one of the easiest computers to use.
I don't buy new things, I take care of the items I have till they really need to be replaced. Not just buy the newest whatever.

Now I really need a new computer and between this one acting up and because I have to use comcast internet, I always have problems. I never know from one day to another,  if the computer or internet will work !
I have fingers crossed this will post on Monday morning.
woohooo !

Here are a few random photos that I have taken the last few months.

What my Christmas Day weather was like.
.

.
I grew up in Tucson, we don't need snow to enjoy Christmas.
Sun, blue skies and temps around 70.
Our winter weather will hopefully start in January.
We need the rain.

.
Soon most of this will be taken down.
I love the Christmas lights and will miss them.

  2. Great photos. I hate computer problems. Apple geniuses told me that after 7 years, they consider their computers obsolete and won't work on them anymore. If you do end up having to get a new one, as painful as it is, it will be so much faster that you won't believe that you did not want to buy it. That is how they get you!

    1. Remember when they said,,, or Al Gore said because he invented the internet, that our life would be so much easier because of the computer ?
Everyone of my friend swears constantly at their computers. One actually threw it out the door !

  3. Oh my - thehamish's nose close up and Dr.Watson's toe beans...so wonderful. The Christmas day photo with the sun on the mountains tugs at my heart. We're heading over to Portland, Maine tomorrow for New Years Eve and a night of wandering around the 'Old Port' and enjoying their First Night festivities. The expected high temp for the evening will be around 5 degrees. Yert! I'll be the one with hand warmers in my pockets! Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

  4. For the time being, I use the computer at the library, and it's reasonably fast. If and when I get home internet, it will be on the computer I have now (a Dell), which is about 10 years old. I hate to see how slow that's going to be!
